Truth ((emphatic cough)). Sometimes I agree and sometimes I disagree but I have no trouble understanding what I am agreeing with or disagreeing with.
Well if it's too comlicated for you tell me which part and I'll try and break it down.
That was my point to you when you summarized what you "believed" to be the points made. Go back to them, quote them specifically in context and then discuss, but don't refer to a past discussion in a direct contention with generalized summaries as you did because your summaries aren't the arguments previously made.
Nope. If you don't understand something just ask. But I was pretty straight forward.
I am not going to do your work for you because you failed to properly summarize peoples points.
Not responding to you will be the more efficient and reasonable course.

LOL....I qoute something from one of your own posts but you won't respond to it because I did't qoute the whole thing. What, did you go back and change it?
Anyway, your whole problem with mainstream games is convenience (at least as I understand it), but the more I learn about EQ your "convenience" hatred seems to apply more and more to EQ. Just watched a video where the player used the yellow snail trail to figure out where he was going.....hahaha
See the actual problem is not convenience and certainly not mounts. The biggest issue is how developers have dumb-down the game and oversimplified it. Quests no longer leave anything to figure out or remember, just follow the instructions. And a large part of that comes from the vocal minority on the forums.
False summary which leads to a straw man.
You don't attend to my actual points, you just "assume" what you want to think I said, then attend to the argument as you see fit. If you actually "quoted" what I said, then you would have to be responsible for the context as I presented it. You are ignorant of EQ and also apply the same false summaries and lack of understanding to your evaluation of it as you do the discusions made.
There is no discussion with you on the topics presented because you are here to "win" for your opinon, not defend a legitimate point in your premise.
So, discussion becomes pointles with you and I will no longer respond to you due to this.
In case you don't understand what I mean when I say "ignorant of EQ", your above point specifically establishes this. That "life line" feature you saw is a mainstream EQ feature that was never present in original EQ. In fact, you will be hard pressed to find much footage of original EQ (Release to Velious) due to the fact that streaming utilities did not exist in early EQ. If you wanted to capture such footage, you either had to have a pricey video capture card (and a TON of HD space which was MASSIVELY expensive back then) or a video card that had a RCA adapter to record on a VHS.
That is why your "I gotchas" are yet another example of you trying to "win" for your opinnion rather than defend any legitimate point.
So carry on, the floor is yours, I wont be interacting with you anymore.
Not responding to you will be the more efficient and reasonable course.
Someone said that earlier.

Yep, I did, but that was in response to arguing with him over his previous points. He took that as an example where he could walk in, throw out a massive false summary and then ignorantly dismiss original EQ because he watched a modern video on modern EQ gaming systems.
I am done with him, but it was necessary to point out his ignorance.
Not sure your point though?
MauvaisOeil said:You spend way too much time reading yourself, buddy. Take a deep breath and refrain yourself.
Why do you assume I am upset? Nothing wrong with me pointing out an obvious flaw in someones comment is there?
If I say... "MauvaisOeil said.. xyz" and it is completely false, would you not take issue and attempt to point out the obvious fallacy in such?
Why is it I am being unreasonable in such a response?

Except you the one making things up based on your opinion, not fact. You want to use original EQ as an example, link me to download the game or a youtube video that shows it.
And that doesn't change the fact that EQ has plenty of other examples that show of convenience that was in the original EQ. You choose not to bring them up.
That and you ignore the point convenience isn't the problem, it's dumbing-down and oversimplifying is the issue.
