When you play an MMORPG, do you commit to just one?

I commit to one game, and one main character.

I stick to one MMO, partly becasuse of the potential time involved and partly for budget reasons. If there is so much to do in game and the social circles are expansive, I wont need to play another MMO. Or meeting other people in RL for whom doing something exciting on a saturday night can also be a hard and tough dungeon attempt or exploration or raid. Or even just being ourselves together in RL, but at the same time apart in the MMO.

Yes I commit 100% to it. There is no other MMO and there is no other non-MMO.

I have to admit, I knew I was in the minority, but I didn't expect to be the ONLY person who plays multiple MMOs... xD

Only one at a time as long as it keeps my interest. I played SWG for 2 years, then moved onto EQ2 for nearly 10. I would dabble in others just to check them out, but always came back to EQ2. Took a small break for 3 years to play SWTOR, but right back into EQ2 after I was done with Star Wars. Right now, I have no MMO home. Drifting...

I think part of this also has to do with the relative dearth of decent MMOPG options for many of "us" right now (and by "us", I mean the type of players who are excited about Pantheon).  Simply put, there haven't been many viable choices for any of us to play for a few years now.  If there were suddenly five different flavors of Pantheon-style games on the market, I think quite a few folks would play more than one if they were able.

For me it's that "if I'm able" thing more than anything else.  Give me unlimited free time and I'll play at least 3 different MMOs (if they're any good).  But sadly I don't have unlimited free time :(

Nor do I. I just bounce around on any given day. Sometimes I feel like playing one, or the other, or whatever - depends on how I'm feeling on a particular day. Helps that I'm super casual in all but one at a time. xD I've never even reached level cap within the appropriate expansion in Rift. Too much time poking around on alts, housing, etc!

I am a bouncer. I have ESO, WoW, Diablo III, Hearthstone, GW2, SWTOR and Wildstar on my drive right now. used to have EQ as well.

If pantheon is as good as EQ1, I will likely play it 80% of the time, but goof off in other mmo's some as well.

I love all those games I have listed. I want to play them. even if it is just here and there with no raiding ambitions.

filthy casual i guess... but in all fairness, 80% is a Lot of time. I work, but I have Loads of play time.

I tend to get way to immersed and spend to much time to play more than one.

Commit to one, but I do tend to make alts and play other non mmo games on the side

Just one, way too time consuming to play more and I just can't play casual.

Just one. I've been trying a classic everquest server to hold me over just a tiny bit but it's no fun without a world full of people. Hopefully people are willing to stick to this game so level 20-49 is a groupable leveling experience.

    Yep.  One at a time.

I only play one MMORPG at a time. It is because I like to dedicate my time to being the best player in the game/on the server and have the best character. An attachement to the character if you will...

Only one at a time. Have played many over the years, none for as long a EQ. Most since EQ level way to fast to max level.

Started playing EQ again yesterday to fill in time.

Iplay exclusively one MMORPG having established this method of playing initially during my years on EQ 1,then EQ2 and Vanguard .

As I am retired I normally play on American Servers with guils that preplan their raids and quest support on a preplanned schedule

Yes, I do. Actually I prefer to play 1 game at a time now that I'm older with more real world responsibilities.

Normally, just one.  There are times when a game may be down that I hope on something else, but for the most part, one game for this lady.

I only ever play one mmo at a time. I'll usually have a few alts cause I like to explore different areas and classes until I find one that really feels right. I'm never in a rush to level and will gladly wander around seeing the sights and talking to NPCs.

I often have single player games on the go that I use to fill up small amounts of game time that I may get as well.

    This ^

If people truly committed "100 % of their time to one MMO" they wouldn't be on these forums looking at a new MMO unless the other MMO they are no longer 100% committed to is no longer active.  edit: or they are incorrectly using "100%" as an actual percentage.

One at a time - BUT - over the past several years I have been a bit of a nomad back and forth between this one and that one.

My hope for Pantheon is this: One avatar in one game (Pantheon) for MANY years.
