The Healers are here! Cleric, Druid or Shaman - Which one do you fancy the most? http://www.pantheonmmo.com/newsletter/2018_july_intro/ #PRF #MMORPG #MMO #communitymatters
The Cleric sounds solid. The Shaman sounds an interesting departure from what we might have seen before.
For me, the Druid sounds most intriguing though - can't wait to try it out!
I'm going to be playing Cleric as my main I find it interesting that we will have additional resources to manage in the form of celestial power on top of mana. I love Celestial light and how it has many different aspects to it such as increasing armour to low health targets and refreshing Light shroud.
Probably gonna go for shaman, i like the debuffs/buffs, the third eye, the in battle mana regen, and the dots. It makes them quite versatile for solos, duos, groups, and raids. My only real complaint is how you get stronger based on how many elements you have inflicted something with, which smells of forcing you to cover things with as many elements as you can as opposed to what elements work best for that fight.
The druid pet one ups shaman pet though. It doesnt just attack for piddly with a few other lame abilities. The fox+druid feels like a true "two in one" situation where the familiar really is an extension of the character. If there ends up being more choices so everyones not walking around with the same fox druid might be a real consideration for me. Also druids seem pretty kitey, which also makes them good for several different situations.
I wasn't going to even *think* about this yet - but I do try to answer your questions. Partly to encourage you to keep getting feedback from us, partly to actually give the feedback.
Firstly I like all three classes - then again I usually focus on the healer role when I can.
My bias - a strong one - is towards a healer than can also solo effectively. My first major MMO was DAOC and I played healers there too. The Midgard Healer unlike the healing classes for Albion and Hibernia was pathetically weak on its own. Maybe it could kill an enemy 3-5 levels lower than the healer - maybe not. Gods spare me from such a limited class - however much I may like healing in a group.
The shaman looks as if it can go around Terminus without an escort and not run screaming if a trash rat attacks. Pet classes are good that way. It looks as if it can kill an enemy in less time than the halflife of the universe. I definitely like the shaman. It was a favorite class of mine in Vanguard.
The druid looks like it can also be let out without a keeper - and has some offense as well as healing. A very interesting class and another favorite in Vanguard.
I may be *totally* wrong but I see the cleric as focused a bit more on the group healing role and less on being able to do interesting things on its own. The heavy armor implies strongly that it will kill more slowly than the druid or shaman and thus perhaps be painful to solo with. Good design balances things - if a class is very hard to kill it *should* kill more slowly. If one of the three classes has the best dps *and* has the best defense everyone will gravitate to it unless its healing is weaker than the others - so that would be poor design.
Don't get me wrong - if the cleric proves to be a bit better in the group role and a bit painful solo I still will play one. This is a group game and having the best group healer is valuable. I am not even remotely implying that the cleric isn't as good a class or better than the other two. But the question is about our preferences and my favorites will be the most well rounded classes with interesting abilities and that means druid or shaman right now.
I may have read this wrong as I'm out of the country and only have a sat connection so online time is limited but as I read it the Druid seed thingie actually prevents death and shrouds you so no xp lose at all. I'm curious how much health comes back after it does its job, how long is the person within the chrysalis and are there any after effects. The only downside seems to be that we can't actually rez a person already dead. But the upside may be we can give the seed to people and it will save them a death down the road depending on how long it lasts.

Will the Druid pet be able to attack? Or is it strictly for enhancing abilities
I like the shaman, but I would play it oh so spiritual. My beast (pet) merely there to protect my body and to warn me if being attacked while I was on a spirit journey. Being a master of the spiritual planes, losing the warder would not afect me for I can pull its essence karma directly from the spiritual plane, (for we never really die, do we) and bring it back. Oh good and faithful servant. Then I would ensure the monster yearned for a chance at reincarnation while I made it wither under the force of its bad deeds for decisions past and for future bad decisions not yet made! such a vision all at once would surely cause any spirit to flee its physical body and embrace the threshold of death so it can pass into the spiritual realm.
Will be leaning towards the druid even though soo far the weather effects seem shallow right now, and no rez...which will greatly hinder group finding, and no the chrystal thingy is not a rez, it's in the class of a soulstone like in WoW in a way where it saves you. It looks like you can only do it on one person also, which is good since it seems powerful. Sadly, the two main things I was looking forward to on a druid, detailed weather abilities, and a rez are not there. So, right now it seems like a fun class, but the main areas I was looking at are dissappointing so far. Hopefully more is reavealed later on.

This is similar to the "soulstone" effect from early WoW warlocks (minus the caccoon thing).
In most cases you would just keep it on yourself, incase of an accidental death there's a possibility to save a wipe. Or if you know a dps needs to eat an ability or offtank a boss and is likely to die.
It's a great ability, but not near as good as a battle rez. Unless the caccoon only lasts a short while.

I could be wrong, but I'm sure the druids will be able to rez out of combat. I never even considered the druids and shamans not being able to rez out of combat.
Remember those aren't all the skills just a few samples.
The shaman seems to be the last man standing with the out of body rez mechanic. Im intrigued by the cleric HoT and then heal with refresh on HoT, Nice Combo heal there, just keep refreshing. I will probably play a shammy if i play any of them as i raided on a shammy and enjoyed it immensely. Friend will be playing druid as she is sick of playing cleric. Also, because Dark Myr can be druid and we will probably duo a Dark Myr Dire Lord/Druid combo.

Yea, out of combat is fine. But both healing classes had rezzes leaked except for druid. So that is worrying is all.

There isn't a distance to group member listed for Hirode's Rescue. Maybe you can drop Verdanfire Tree and then target your group member and cast Hirode's Rescue and it will pull your group member from wher ever they're bound to the tree...kinda like a rez

None of the abilities list range. I think it's safe to assume it can't pull people from across the zone or from other zones though.
Am I crazy or is there nothing there for Druid? It's supposed to be a class reveal, but I don't see the "Learn More" section for Druid under the Classes tab.
