state of the game

I am not really in fear of game delays at all.  Recall this game is spearheaded by veteran game designers and producer.  If you have ever seen Brad in his early interviews you will hear about his lessons learned threw everquest and vanguard.  This type of leadership has a way of making things happen  at exactly the right pace.  Take into account not only are they veterans but veterans of very succesful ground breaking games.

Same as others : What's the point of outgoing the frustration about the game not beeing an AAA title developped in six month with hundreds of careless people ?

Sure, Release is not there yet. What do you expect ? One of thoses others Crash-mmo who's sole role is to be released as soon as barely viable only to be a big failure in the first two month until it's starved of all players, then changed in a cash machine to exploit the few that sticked onto it ?

You wan't a good game ? Be patient. You want a quick released game ? Go somewhere else, and take the risk to be highly disappointed.

I know patience is not a common virtue in this era, and it's easier to get games you didn't know about until release than watch them growing slowly until they are ready to release, that's how it works, and pantheon wouldn't grow withouth care, attention and awareness.

As many, I'm really starved for the game, but I will wait because I have no choice and I prefer 2 years late with a decade to play on, than 2 years early with a few month before it's abandonned.

I would rather it be good than release in Vanguard condition. I am super excited for Pantheon.

I think I have seen enough in streams to do a $250 pledge. (I know i like the Vanguard/EQ-ish style)

I will pledge when Alpha is a couple months away.

It saddens me to see that my idea has created controversy ... this was not the purpose of my post ... as I said that was my idea and I do not pretend to be shared ... everyone has their own point of view. I think I was misunderstood: I do not risk cutting my veins because I can not wait patiently waiting for the game ... I just thought it would be nice to be able to take part in an early alpha version of course I'm referring to those who paid a pawn like me. In the end I will wait and I will not go anywhere else to be disappointed by games that are not worth even one of my cents in my time ... I paid a $ 250 pledge for this game and I do not regret I contributed because I believe in the developers and in everything they are doing because I believe that phanteon is really an exceptional gdr that reminds me a lot of d & d and similar games are not seen. :-))

First time I read myself in italian .

But don't worry, I don't think you started a controversy, the state of the game is such as we are forced to wait patiently because the studio is small, their ideas great and we want it to be good.

Yay alot of heated voices but plz relax i kinda guess everyone wants a well made and balanced game with a challange to bite on to...and yes i dont really care if it takes years from now to make it and no i dont really want to play a crap substitute mmo from Korea . Thats not the issue i had a interest in knowing where we are or how other people are thinking about it, not trying to forcfully prying the brains of the moderators to know all of the treasure chests in the game.

i know to little information makes humans to imaging very different things/to mutch information makes them dull in some sense.

Thanks baz your words about the latest meeting with the team is kinda what i like to hear the plans how they are starting to glue things together or that everything is starting to make a picture when fitting the puzzle together.

This is not a critisism against the game just a honest question about where are we (plz dont say earth i am sober enought to know that) and what will likly happend next.

And my itch was probobly wrong to say more in line a little worried i had some friends lose interest after a couple of years-yeah i will strigtened the non belivers with some selected instrument-

Like i said this forum and is members are vibrant even the moderators are great i can actually se writings from them =)

Aa soon as I saw this post I knew it would spin in many directions. But that is good, that is the point of these discussions. I doubt the OP really expectes to have a dev respond to this post and answer all his questions. But for people to talk about it.
I do beleive a long wait time is something to think about, and I would bet my left arm ( do not need that one very much ) that it is something the devs have thought about. Of course we all want a great and as bug free game that they can make. However in today's world of games and many other things we do not like to wait, and we get distracted and drawn other places. Now before someome says " then this is not the game for that type of player" I think the VR team would like as many players as they can get for the business aspect of the game. Like I mentioned before I myself is just not sure of where the gamr is, because I dont know how they put it all together.
Pre-alpha, what maybe 70% of the game ready? 50%?
I can only assume after 4 years and pre-alpha maybe another year? Hah I have no idea.
