Could we get the /follow command activated for characters? Sucks making people having to wait for you if you need to go AFK while traveling with a group.

Also a spot for food/drink to be equipped that will auto use would be very awesome. Even if it doesnt have auto use, a spot to equip food/drink would be nice.

I may start playing regularly if these very simple things were in game lol.  Not having /follow in a game that requires following others to stay in a group 99% of the time is awful when a game session lasts for several hours - because that means you can only lose focus (or otherwise step away from your PC) for 1% of the time for several hours if you don't want to burden everyone else you're playing with.

I support the lack of follow, I don't mind if you want to box, but I do mind covertly covering that argument by using arguments like this; I'm not saying that "You just want to box," but I am saying that lots that do want to use "Arguments" just like this as support.

I have a family, I do not like streaming (or Discord, personally), and I do not support /follow.

I don't really play when I can't focus and I turn down groups all the time in favor of afk farming because of this. You can do the same.

To mitigate these issues and balance familial needs with optimal play, I tend to camp or naturally gravitate my character toward the stuff I'd like to do when I'm able to properly devote the attention my (hopefully!) future group or the group I plan to create or participate in deserves! There are many tricks you learn that'll help with this!

But the lack of /follow is Certainly not

/Follow is already in the game, just not activated for players as a usable command. Its literally how pets follow their caster.

I also want the devs to add in the everything will aggro when you sit to rest like EQ, but we get what we get. /follow wont break the game but expand the number of testers. VR needs money, can only run accounts you paid for...

The lack of follow will not, in any way, hinder boxing with auto run already existing. I for one would /follow every time I went AFK on EQL/P99. I would also like to /follow so I can deal with the baby, dog, RR, whatever when we are moving with a group over a large area.

If someone really wants to box, they will have their characters pre-planned and camped in an area to minimize the run beforehand. The boxer's end game is loot camps. That's where they do the most damage. Preventing multiple people from obtaining loot and maintaining a monopoly. Lack of /follow doesn't help this situation.

Personally I'm against /follow and believe players should control 1 adventurer.  I don't believe offering Boxers Pay to Win is a necessary evil to VR earning more money.

/follow is bigtime needed in a game. otherwise the 'gotta take the dog out' guy will keep you waiting on them all night lol

They've left /follow out because they don't want people to multi-box, which is the lamest reason for leaving /follow out of a game.

Just tell people they're not allowed to multi-box, simple.

Im confused, Iv seen several posts on the discord from VR mods stating that, there are no rules against boxing, only 3rd party automated boxing?

Samboah, Ive never seen them state anything that insinuated multi boxing was not allowed.

If you don't want to box, don't box?

Many people have enjoyed boxing oldschool games since EQ, DAOC, etc. and simply won't play Pantheon at all if they can't box. Myself included. Creating many alts and combinations of groups and finding ways to solo content is a hobby I've enjoyed for decades.

The multiboxing community has a forum with 20,000+ members who were hyped for a new game when Pantheon was first announced and Brad said outright that multiboxing would be allowed. It was only after new management took over all the anti-boxer bias began.

This isn't a PvP game. Other people boxing has no impact on you whatsoever. Let other players enjoy the game they way they enjoy it.

I find melee a lot less fun without /face and /follow because I'm much more likely to be out of range. Also, my character doesn't reset direction to match my camera direction if I moved the camera to view beside/behind me, making new movement take me in the wrong direction until I resynch my camera and character. To resynch camera and character movement direction, I need to zoom in to first person then zoom back out to my preferred third person view. It would be much better for me to be able to /follow my next target so I run in exactly the direction I intend (and not into another room or off a cliff). To minimize automation, /follow on enemy mobs can be turned off when I get next to it and stop moving.

As for /follow on other player characters, I find it makes the game more social. If my group is traveling, putting someone on /follow allows me to have conversations. I'm a rather fast typist and yet its still hard to chat when near constant keyboard/mouse inputs are required.
