March 4 streams thoughts

    I've watched both wizard ones as well and I still feel that he's at least 15% underpowered. My personal opinion I don't plan on playing one I plan on playing a dial Lord but I think with light use of matter or medium use he should be able to have a 10% more damage than the direlord was doing. Even Roenick out damaged him a couple times.

    As someone who normally plays the wizard class I was left thinking the same. Its underpowered in the current form. Rogue with superior dps plus mez or underpowered wizard who has one job...doing damage. I expect things to change though or wizards will really be an undesirable class.

    Finally got around to watching some of this stream and something occured to me when the healers were getting hammered by mobs that had been passively building heal aggro while cc'ed. It got me to thinking that tanks generally aren't given "defensive target" tools, which struck me as odd. In general, the thematic explanation for aggro-generating behaviors on tanks is something along the lines of taunting/goading the enemy into foolishly attacking the tank instead of the higher priority targets, but those are "aggressive target" focused concepts. I would really like to see more "defensive target" abilities explored in Pantheon. Abilities that reduce an allies' threat level, steal threat from an ally, siphon or negate an allies' threat generation for x seconds, etc.

    Isn't it odd to see a tank following around an enemy yelling "Hey you, attack me! I'm the one you want!" instead of using their physical prowess to protect those who need it. It shouldn't always be about making the tank appear to be the best target, but also by making your allies less appealing targets by protecting them. At least that's my take.

    I would say rouges are fine as long as they give a sort of damage equivilant to enchanters otherwise it will be the EQ warrior/shadowknight problem again where sk's were just better for group play cause they could dot, snare, and cause of this keep better aggro.  

     

    maybe this will even out cause the chanter will be able to charm mobs and bust out a bunch of dps also and mez groups of mobs...

     

    in the end I think that we just need to see what the enchanter skill set looks like before we ask for a rouge nerf.

    When it comes to the rogue my only feeling there is their dps is probably where it needs to be minus did have better weapons than everybody else. The issue I have is the amount of CC he was able to do I think there probably needs to be a minor refresh on that maybe 5 seconds so it would knock down the amount of mobs he could CC at one time. I can understand one to two with him being a rogue but four was a little much. I mean I plan on playing a dire lord and I expect to be an off-tank on stuff like raids and if the rouge can CC that well there won't be any point in being an off tank or having off tanks. To be honest it seems like we've added CC to almost every single class with melee wished me just I don't get. monks get CC rogue's CC I'm pretty sure rangers are going to get it so they'll be no reason to have more than one tank in a group that's for sure. It also changes the realm of the CC class group because if all of the DPS melee classes can also crowd control why would you need a crowd control person at all or even those classes. So why would you need a bard to help cloud control why would you need an enchanter. Or necro that's a crowd control. And also why would you even want them when you can have the DPS and crowd control.
