Summer is already half over. This is just comical at this point frankly. So, maybe it launches in August. So assuming no more pre alpha, which we all know is not going to be the case, we start Alpha in 2021. This game literally is incapable of being released at this stage before 2030. Hilarious.

that literally made me laugh out loud...and by the way great work VR...just got through watching the LAS discussion and I have to say, although we may be literally invested in your success to some small degree, I'm impressed with what you've accomplished even with all the challenges of the past year.
Now we are hearing about major system mechanics paving the way for content development.
Perhaps when it's all said and done we can look back upon the allegory provided by the fearful and wonder perhaps if they ever literally tried to count some chickens before they hatched and how did that go for them..

What literally annoys me is when people call the devs liars and cheats (not literally, but effectively) because the devs have straight out stated that the game *will* release. At this point, further funding is just allowing them quicker development and more content at release.

There does seem to be an explosion of people using 'the word' to litter their dialog. Maybe they think it makes them sound smarter? When it's actually doing the opposite.

Oh brother. Two things. I was half joking but the other half was the, at least to me, obvious point that BASED ON the previous speed of the existing testing phases, with the expectation that future testing would consist of more PA, alpha and beta and they would take the same time relative to the previous PA phases, it is LITERALLY impossible it would be done by then. Forgive me as apparently I needed to spell it out for everyone.

1) No, we do not know there will be another PA phase, in fact I'm pretty sure devs have said they anticipate moving to Alpha after PA5, but did not *rule out* more PA phases, depending on how PA5 goes.
2) There is no reason whatsoever to think Alpha and Beta would take the same amount of time and have the same number of phases. In fact there is great reason to believe (like from every other game, ever) that Alpha and Beta will not take as long as each other, since they don't server the same purpose, never mind any pre-Alpha phase. Also, most other games don't expose any pre-Alpha phase. Your reasoning, now you've explained it, is baseless. Not quite literally, but significantly.
3) Even if Alpha and Beta both took as long as pre-alpha, that literally isn't another 10 years. Pre-Alpha didn't start in 2015.
4) All the moaning about the game not coming out for ages or at all ceased to be funny a long time ago if it ever was.
5) Your use of the word "literally" joined to an obvious exaggeration *was* funny, however.

One can literally use literally to make a hyperbolic statement. Where the abuse of the terms arises is when people say literally followed by a figure of speech.
"Oh man I literally slept for 1000 hours". Everyone knows you didn't, you're exaggerrating using the term literally to illustrate how tired you were. This is(sadly) an appropriate use of the term.
"Oh man I literally slept like a log". No, you did not. To sleep like a log is a figure of speech, which is the literal opposite of...literal. Logs don't sleep.
