(All the moaning about the game not coming out for ages or at all ceased to be funny a long time ago if it ever was.)
Some of the comments are indeed moaning. On the other hand some are intended to remind the team (no I don't think they really need reminders) that progress has been imperfectly rapid and while a poor release is one of the two things most likely to kill Pantheon delay while money runs out and fans lose interest is the other thing most likely to kill it.
As in many things balance is needed. Pushing out a game that is obviously incomplete even at the lower levels, or unstable and buggy, is to be avoided at all costs. Further delay in order to add a few bells and whistles that are not really needed to release a high quality game is also to be avoided at all costs. A game where maximum level is intended to be months or years off for all but the no-life people (like me) that push frantically to gain levels (unlike me) has the luxury of delaying features not needed until medium to maximum level.
