True, they really seemed to intentionally hint towards that conclusion. Somewhere between now and the end of the summer is my guess.
My guess is after PA5 when they round out and prepare for Alpha. They likely want the new site before Alpha and to use that as the basis of testing instead of pulling Champion players into the VIP webite which is separate from this one.

You know, I disliked the guy at the time. (You know blame the guy at the top sort of thing).... But what the franchise has gotten after he bailed was a sorrier crapshow than it ever was under his tenure.
This forum is probably a testament to the frustration of waiting. When you're running the marathon of development on a shoestring (too many metaphors?), don't get ahead of the game.
Why bother with hype and marketing items until there is something to market?
I would doubt they will attract investors that aren't already aware of the game
maybe time all the website and discord and everything else involving marketing activities when alpha test fixes are near completion...just my 2cents

Hated is a strong word, but yes some idiots did do some stupid things. And you have to be an idiot to get so worked up over a game.
I am no Smedley fan but I know from my many years in the gaming industry, that he is the reason some games really did get made, rather than disapear into the dustbin of history.
