Honestly, I don't dislike the name and love the work put into the world as it is, but I was curious, was this anyone's first thought upon hearing the name of the world in Pantheon?

My first thought was Terminus sounds very ominous and foreboding, which seems to fit perfectly with the lore and a good sense of danger and high likelihood to progress to a point when terminators invade from space and Arnold Swarzsenegger is a raid boss that fucks us all up.

Terminus, I think of last stop, end of the line.

I thought that was the point, Terminus is the land where broken shards of other worlds come to rest.  That might just be my own spin on the lore in my head.

Yeah, for me, I immediately thought of the appendix of a CCNET/CCNA textbook. Terminal, Terminus etc. It doesn't have that 'high fantasy' feel to it I have come to expect in an MMORPG. THat said, there's nothing wrong with it, especially if it fits the lore. However, it's good to see what other viewpoints are of the name.

There was a long thread on this perhaps a year ago. A significant number of people thought that the name could be improved.

I did not. The reference is clearly to the end of a rail line or canal line or other system of transportation. It seems appropriate.

I must admit not being particularly enamoured of the name.  Kinda makes me think: -

But I get what they are going for.

It's just a name, but it does sound more sci-fi than fantasy

Makes me think of The Walking Dead or a bus stop, but hey that's just me.
