  In pantheon? Melee, ranged or magic. Well I would say play a ranger then you get to have both melee and ranged and if you have an itch for somthing more magical you can light an arrow on fire and pretend its a fire ball.

  If resources such as Mana matter... Melee will always be the best because they will have less down time. In EQ my dream group was Paladin, Enchanter, Cleric, 3X Rogue. 3 Clarities, 4 hastes, and things died super fast and we never had to wait for someone to med up.

  The answer is simple it melee mixed in with a little bit of magic and range, it's called a ranger, or a paladin as they are the best classes hahahahahhahahahahahah

  When I'm playing a game I want to do whatever I can't do in real life.  Does that mean I'm a sword slinging maniac or a eagle eye with a bow?  No, but if I wanted to pursue that I could.  I can't sling magic around though.  And there's nothing much more satisfying then making a monster into a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken.

  As a tank I will have to say melee, but allso as a tank I allways thought it important to have an even mix of all three.

  For me it's: MAGIC>ranged>melee,though overall all classes are great and I always appreciate good support, heal and tank ;)
