Buffs and ports are free with donations appreciated. High-end, class-specific ports like the Wizard port to Plane of Sky and Plane of Hate have a hefty fee of course.

If the request is phrased nicely, with the person actually understanding that they are imposing upon my time, then it is free. People who just demand something will pay..alot.
No, not even if regagent is used. If I need to use a reagent, that is part of my player cost/resopnsibility and often the cost is negligible, it does not put a strain onones pocketbook.
Regarding ports, I dont need them, I run. If I happen to be in a group where there is a porter- what a wonderful suprise. But otherwise, I act and play as if there is none. Nor do I need one on a CR. If one is offered, they are blessed, but I will not seek one as it is my problem, not theirs. Like merging on to the highway. Those on the highway have right of way, you dont, Rule is you yield to those with right of way, if that means you stop? you stop. Even on the on-ramp during rushh hour, you stop. They don't have to let you in, but one is blessed that does Those that don't are not damned, they are just following the law.
In a group, if buffs are what I bring to the group just for me being me and I use reagents, I will buff everyone if they need it or not and do not expect anything in return. I am playing my class.
However if I am in a group and I find those buffs beneficial and I am aware of the cost, my character is such that I will show sympathy/compassion- internally ("If you prick us, do we not bleed?" merchant of Venice, Shakespeare). That I will empathize without bragging and quietly without telling anyone, give the cleric any peridots I loot. Or just not roll on them. Just the way I am. If I know he/she needs them and uses them I wont put myself in the way of them getting them, to be nice.
Interestingly I recall a response to my comment some years back where there was one that did not like the comment I made where I said "clerics get the gems!" from me being empathetic to the clerics cost, that they thought that it wasnt fair. Their opinion, so be it. I know that chasing gold or plat is not the point of the game and selling to NPC merchants is just a nice immersion thing. For actively selling to players can lead to RMT, -its a gateway transaction! (lol) like they used to say pot was a gateway drug to heroin so could also player to player selling be seen as such but only for those who intentionally seek out items for the point of reselling instead of stopping when they get theirs, like Jboots.
Othersise, I went adventuring, I have a ton of hides, I'll sell them to the merchant. If a player gets to me before I reach the merchant? fine, we'll barter/bicker. I need the bag space. If I cant sell it, I might drop it or just not loot it. Again, bag space. If its lore, I'll shout what is rotting and leave the corpse and move on. If I cant use it or if I dont need it for a quest it means nothing to me. If I group with you to get an item and you tell me of the quest, I will go again for my benefit. If I tell you and you feel like going back for it for yourself, I will put you on friends list and ask that you look for me when you go. As you helped me without knowing, so I will help you with knowing and make arrangements to do so. Unless I'm already in a group the next time and doing somehting else, heh. But I will keep reminding you, untill you do! :)
Nah, wouldn't charge. I would keep sort of a mental list of folks who are always asking for stuff, though. If you want the perks of others, you should probably invite them and group. As far as reagent costs, I agree with Manouk. It's the class I picked (to play and experience, not make as much coin as possible), and those costs come with it. If others volunteer to help, great, but not going to ask for it. For ports, if I'm going somewhere I'll ask if anyone wants a ride, but as far as being a taxi service for hire, probably not. I'm sure there are those who would argue that it's believeable wizards and druids would do that for {insert various reason here}, but it cheapens the experience for me. While I do understand the convenience factor and the money making potential, it takes away from the overall feel by making a huge world smaller and travel less significant. The Nexxus was a great example of this. When the Luclin expansion was released in EQ, you could get almost anywhere instantly. Made it feel more like you were in the clubhouse of an apartment complex (everyone set their bind points there) instead of a world and it's moon.
Absolutely I'd charge! Why would I give a buff out for free? What do you think this is, a community-centered game or something??
Just kidding. Of course I wouldn't charge. Being a friendly neighborhood buffer is a great way to strengthen the community, and one of the things that made classic mmos so great.
Free with donations accepted (if the player can afford it) if not then the donation is even refused.
Free alway on corpse runs.
I do have one pet peeve though, this "language" some like to use "prt 2 NK plz" or some other Strange phrase I'm supposed to decipher. If you can't take the secounds to find the vowels on your keyboard, then I can't find the seconds to try to read the gibberish you typed nor load the spell. More than likely you will be ignored. (Not put on ignore, just not acknowledged until you type actual WORDS.)

I never have charged for buffs or ports ... ever. Most of the reagents if needed (ports) however were really not overly expensive so it really wasnt even worth the time of opening the trade window lol. Now if a reagent takes the equivilant of a months salary; well, I haven't played that game yet. If someone tossed me an expensive reagent to cast a port or buff then we are back to the casting is free, I earn my money in more legit ways.
Buffs would be free.
But in my opinion the reagents for ports shouldn't be cheap and perhaps even somewhat scarce and sought after, as to make fast travel options less of a no-brainer. And therefore, providing this service to other players should naturally also have a fee attached to it.
If teleportation reagents are cheap or non-existant though, nobody will charge for it. Because if someone tries, people will just find somebody else to port them who will do it for free.
Buffs should be free Ports on the other hand may have associated costs which should be reimbursed to the caster
Personally I have run to the various assembly points as definede by the group/raid leaders except on occasions where I have been called at the last minute to make up a group. Mostly guilds pre plan their raids and therefore players have both an assembly time and location in advance4 to make a port to that position unnecessary.
Unless you giving ports away for free or by donation, it's impossible to answer without knowing what the economy of the game will end up being like.
But if you charge, I would say that the amount of platinum you would get from hunting for 10-15 minutes at lower/mid-range would be appropriate.
