People have asked it a couple of times already but I'll ask anyway since it's the only thing I can think of: How will progeny work? I'm not too sold on the idea from what little I've heard on it.

Some clarification on the system in the future would be much appreciated, either way.

You may or may not have seen this, and it is a bit dated so we could use a revision if it's changed. But here is this if you want it.

This has been stated as inaccurate for at least over a year. I can't even remember at this point. Brad's comments seem to throw even this old map's relevancy at the time into question. How can one build a connected world without even set ideas of landmasses? How can the lore be accurate?

Hopefully they don't take the progeny questions as it being the feature everyone is the most excited about (as it sometimes happens with metrics to determine interest in X or Y). It's something I'm apprehensive about as well. Especially when it comes to minor but noticeable power discrepancies and the potential for them stacking up with multiple cycles of progeny.

I'm apprehensive about progeny as well. I get attached to my characters, I just can't see me 'retiring' my main just to start a new one from scratch with some bonus stats, even if it is a 'son' or 'daughter'. Yeah yeah, I know I know, I don't have to partake in the progeny system if I don't want to, blah, blah, blah.

    1. Since Terminus is made from a number of worlds brazed together.. What does the day/night rotation look like? 1a. Is it real time? 1b. Will it vary depending on season or geographical location?

    1. Does Terminus even have a moon? Or maybe several?? Actual bodies or just fragments of broken chunks from the meshing of Terminus? If not.. ARE THERE STILL WEREWOLVES!?!?

    1. Will "Silence" atmosphere make you unable to party chat? What about alert mobs being able to shout? Will we have to use /emotes to communicate?! WAIT!! I TAKE IT BACK DON'T TELL ME I WANT TO BE SURPRISED!

    1. Am I pretty?

    1. Faction Reputation- If you are in a group that kills a mob but you yourself have not touched it.. Will that still affect your reputation? How about a faction that regards you warmly/as an ally attacking you if a group member attacks it or triggers aggro?

I would like to hear VR's philosophy for raiding in terms of competition vs accessibility.  Should any guild that has the required numbers, gear, and skill to clear a raid have a high probability of getting a shot at that raid during a reasonable hour of the day OR will it be a dog-eat-dog fight over spawns that appear too infrequently to supply the majority of players with opportunity?

Strike that, I want to know if the ability for Wizards to regen mana through arcane dps and Enchanters to drain mana reflects an overall philosophy for enabling active-mana regeneration that will be extended to other non-healing casters (Summoner/Bard/Necro) and possibly healers OR should they just be considered unique mechanics for those classes?

How embedded are stats in the game?

I figure they'll be there for character creation, but are they also embedded in NPCs and encounters? Like the old pen and paper days with rolls against and for different stats at different times for different encounters. Basically, do stats matter in the game? Strong in one but weak in another and the encounter changes. It doesn't mean content is blocked, just that it has to be experienced/handled in a different manner for the player to figure out.

Monthy subscription cost. Not really worried about the cost, I'm genuinely just curious. Included in that is the different types of subscriptions. Besides that I really haven't any questions besides the obvious... how close are we to alpha :)

They've said they will go with an "industry standard" price for the sub.  So probably 15.99, give or take a dollar or two.

My one question: Why is /loc being included in the game?

This assumes that the stance on /loc hasn't changed since the stream a while back when it was mentioned. It just seems like a mechanic that gets grandfathered into games because of precedence rather than a sound rationale.

I mean, I pay $20 a month for my AMC Stubs Premiere and that gets me 12 movies a month at the theatre (3 a week.) Which is around 36 hours of entertainment. I'd be okay with giving a bit more for a subscription for the hours and hours (and hours and hours) of entertainment I'm going to get out of Pantheon.  ;)

@wildenightwolf I couldn't agree more. I'd be fine with paying more for good entertainment ;)

Hmmm yes, subscription plan/cost.  I'd pay $30/month for a good game and leave entertainment to the entertainers.
