Suns, Moons, Eclipses and other Orbital Mechanics.

I was just wondering if we know any of the very basics about the world in an astronomical sense.

    How many Suns are there?

    How many moons are there?

Is one sun much brighter than the other(s)?

If more than one sun, does the planet orbit only one of them, or both/all?

If one star is dimmer, and sunrises/sets are at different times is there a significant difference in ambient light?

    What about seasons?

    Eclipses?

I don't want a space simulator or anything, but it would be cool if these sorts of things are considered.

    Thanks!

While I can't speak to any of that directly, I would really appreciate a more fantastical sky view.  Something more visually stunning than just a single moon.  While a binary star would be cool, that could impede the day/night cycles and since VR has said that many creatures will follow day/night cycles (more undead at night as an example) having a single sun makes accomplishing that easier.  Having multiple moons or even having Terminus itself being a satellite of a gas giant would be even more visually impressive.  Add to that a pronounced galactic band ala the Milky Way in our own night sky plus some vibrant nebulae couldn't hurt.  I just don't want to see an expansion 3 years down the road that has us going to a moon to fight space snakes and us finding some moon cats up there as well.

I agree, a cool sky would really make me happy.  If the planet orbited both stars in a binary system, you'd still have a day night cycle, it would just vary depending on the position of the revolution around the suns.  if you are aligned, more or less with the suns, then it is a "12 hour" (assuming 24 hour day and no axial tilt) day and night.  If the stars are side by side, then the day would be longer, as one sun would rise at 6 am, and set at 6pm, while the second would rise at 8am, and set at 8pm (again, just making a rough estimate)

I agree that going to the moon was a bit far fetched, though I did like the beastlord.

What I don't want to see is a shattered moon.  At least not a shattered moon that stays like that.  If a moon were to be shattered, then the pieces would either continue spreading outward if there were enough initial force, potentially forming rings around Terminus, or it would condense back into a sphere under the weight of its own gravity.  A shattered moon may look cool, but is not realistic at all... excuse me while i go throw a fireball from my fingers...  (in case you missed thw point of that last phrase, I understand that asking for realiism in a fantasy game is a bit silly)

One of my goals in 2019 is brush up on the lore more. So I can't answer all of those questions (and I'm pretty sure there simply isn't info available for all of them) but I do know Pantheon has one moon and its name is Lauta. Other than that, it's very clear to me that the lore and design teams really take the depth of the world seriously and are very creative when it comes to immersion, so I'm very confident that they're considering stuff like this.

I thought Terminus actually had two moons. In the first part of Tales from the Fire there was a line " Her silhouette is a scurrying insect beneath the pale light of twin moons ".
