I think it makes sense to do PvP / PvE / Role Playing PvE ... those three.
Separating by time zone to allow players to login at the same peak times I don't think makes sense.
As for latency, has VR stated their plan for server locations? If all servers are at a consolidated location, it won't matter for latency anyways. For example, living in Alaska, I typically get `100ms to a central U.S. server, which is very playable. If there was a Seattle server that could get me to 30ms, I would be interested in selecting it, but it would not be a major deciding factor.

Couldn't you say the same if people began to discuss pvp servers and rp servers?
Someone brought up a suggestion for a "no boxing" server. Doesnt that open the discussion of why?
I think Kilsin would react the same way to lengthy discussions of the pros and cons of pvp or roleplaying. My guess is he wants the focus to be on what specifications to use with debates about the merits of differing playstyles kept to a minimum. But he can speak for himself and I am surprised he didn't just shut the thread down and refer us to prior threads on what types of servers Pantheon should have.
I live in Russia and when i played EQ2 on Harla Dar (located in Amsterdam as far as i know) my ping was 60-80 and that's ok. But when i started to play on Nagafen (last pvp server) located somewhere in US, my ping growed up to 250-300ms and it was so poor in pvp. So we need different servers for EU and US.

That depends on the size of the player base. If people living in certain time zones have a hard time finding company, it makes sense to encourage them to play on the same server(s). On the other hand, if Pantheon is so well received all over the globe that many servers will be required anyway, it's better to make all server geographically global to promote activitity all around the clock.
@Jabir, I can agree with that. Not sure that it would need to be Time zone by time zone though. Maybe North America/Europe/Asia. I have no idea how popular this game will be at launch internationally. Is it being promoted in other languages?

Yes, if they went into full-blown detailed discussions and arguments I would make the same post for them. We have many threads on multi-boxing, many of which have been closed due to people not being able to discuss it in a mature and respectful manner, it is a highly debatable topic and it does not belong here in a server thread unless in quick mention like with PvP and RP.
I was a multi boxer in EQ, I was my own group and I loved it. Cleric, enchanter and monk. I haven't multiboxed in about 15 years lol. It's the bots that I can't stand, especially when they're named BotA, BotB, BotC, etc. People that sell gold and accounts. I see the point made by the OP but there have to be other ways to inhibit those players. I'm hoping VR will take steps along those lines. My husband and daughter will be playing with me, which means we will be on the same IP.
I would love to see at least one RP server on launch.
