Founder's Guild info?

I am considering upgrading my pledge to the Pathfinder's or Adviser's Pledge. Can someone provide any info on what the Founders Guild is? And while we are at it, are there any specifics on the tunic or ring?

    Thanks!

There isn't a lot of information on the Founder's Guild because it not exactly decided just yet, but it won't really be a "guild". I believe the direction they are looking is more toward a special area or sorts that only people with said access can enter. Again though nothing is decided on it, and its something they won't really put attention on till closer to Release :).

Edit: Removed two links that weren't accessible.

Thanks for the info and links! Unfortunately, I don't have access to those forums (maybe that's why my search didn't pull up much).

Edit: I gave up after the first two links, the last three are available to view.

Side question, when are you going to add some more videos?! =)

I was also planning on the upgrade, but as I stated in my other post, $250 is a lot of money already, I would like to know exactley what the founders guild is before i throw another $50 at it. But as of right now, the devs dont even know what it's going to be. I'm not a big fan of being sold something that the creators don't even know what it is, so I'm going to hopefully wait for a bit and hope they come to the conclusion before they remove the Champions pledge so I can upgrade it if it turns out to be something neat.

I think they should make it like SWToR's Cantina thing on the main ship where only certain people have access and inside you can buy certain flavor items, get some additional lore, and just hang out.  That's kind of what Saicred was referring to.  There's a lot they could do with that kind of concept to make it desireable, exclusive, but not game-breaking.

By definition, Founders Guild benefits can be either useless, minimally useful or very useful in terms of game play.

Useless may be the right answer and it seems to be the common expectation. A bit of flavor. A place to go where the common herd is not welcome. A chat channel just for founders. Some cosmetics. This type of benefit.

Is minimally useful clearly the wrong answer? Suppose logging off for 6 or more hours in the Founders Cantina gives you a 1% increase to experience earned by killing enemies for an hour. Something helpful in the game but not *very* helpful. Especially since part of the hour would be spent getting to the enemies. Something to give us an excuse (to use with ourselves) to upgrade if we are not already in the Founders Guild status - ooh I just bought something useful rather than oooh I just contributed to help the game in a way that will get me nothing.

Yes of course I know that a goal is to have slow leveling and slow progress. If 1% of kill experience (not quest rewards) for a few minutes a day is too much maybe 1% extra cash from cash drops for that same few minutes. So if a mob drops a hide and one silver the player gets the hide, one silver and one copper.

I throw this out for consideration here but as I already said totally useless other than fluff may well be the right answer.

I'm in the same boat as you and contemplating if $50 would be worth the Founder's Conclave/Guild.  The benefits I see so far could be a less crowded and hectic place to work on your crafting, and of course a cool place to hang out.  I do wonder if "re-equip before a new adventure" is more telling than the obvious fact you can look at your inventory inside.

They have mentioned a revamp of the pledge system but that has been in the works for a while now. It is not necessarily a bad idea to wait and see if that happens and, if so, what the new choices are. I assume that they won't take away older choices without giving some advance notice.

Since this thread has been necro'd, to avoid confusion, I just wanna point out that the original question has since been answered by the devs here:

    https://www.pantheonmmo.com/newsletter/2019_april_pledge_rewards/

    Founder's Guild

Description: Access to an exclusive area in the game called the Founder’s Conclave. The Founder’s Conclave serves as a meeting place for its members and can be found in several in-game cities. Members can seek out allies, regale each other with tales of adventures, seek out lost tales or forgotten legends from those around them, re-equip before a new adventure, or work on their various crafts and skills.

The devs haven't said for sure, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say there's much more of a chance that it means there'll be merchants there and maybe even a banker, rather than them just saying that you can open your inventory there, which you can do anywhere ;)

This is also an interesting question to us (malkiyah/alyonyah) as this is specifically the level we are willing to invest upto (adviser X2) financially speaking.... however looking at the rewards the hubby says he cant justify advancing past bloodsworn from protectors X2. Our names in the credits is not worth 200 dollars to us..... maybe this founders conclave could be if we had some knowledge of the reward. Upgrading from protector to bloodsworn is a no brainer.... they should make bloodsworn to adviser a no brainer as well.

To be fair, the pledges are about supporting and "financing" the game, not really about the "phat lewtz".  That said, I get where you're coming from.  When I pledged, I pledged based on what I could "afford to lose" in case the game went belly up, and the extra bennies didn't really play into it for me.  Am I glad I get them?  Yeah, I am.  But they weren't the deciding factor for me.  Supporting the game was the deciding factor in my initial pledge and both times that I upped my pledge.

I assumed as much :).  I figured merchants and craft stations, but I forgot about bankers.  That makes sense.

I like your thinking.  A member's only cloak that you have to equip first in order to enter the Conclave.

For me, the $250 Pathfinder versus the Bloodsworn $200 makes it worthwhile for Alpha access.  I prefer the title and nameplate of Bloodsworn, however the extra items with Pathfinder even it out I suppose.  I'm sure there will be really cool titles and nameplates to earn in-game.

Hm, if there's a banker and crafting stations, and all banks are unique/unlinked, would that mean this is another unique bank worth of storage, at each tier/in each town, effectively doubling, tripling, or n*-ing your storage space? :)
