Would someone please make a video or podcast of the pronunciation of the names and places that are listed in the lore? I can't even read though the lore becuase my own brain doen't know what it's reading.
Was that a place, no that was a person that used to be a different person who used to be a place....I think....or maybe it's a curse word...idk.
Anyway, if anyone is so inclinded I know many many people would appreciate even a decent attempt at the pronunciations of these words. If anything, just so we're all on the same page.
If this video podcast already exsists, I'll gladly follow a link.
Thanks.
Istuulamae said:Great work, Zorkon! I'll add my two cents on the matter -
S'iolaen - see-o-lay-n (Correct, less syllables, See-o-lane. Also have a note below on this)
Su' Roa - Sue-row-ah (Sue-row-uh)
Atahaen - At-ah-hay-n (AH-ta-hayn)
Esqaps - ass-kaps (Es-caps)
Nothi - No-th- eye (Noth-ee)
Maidyn - Mayden (May-den)
Sorhiryth - Sor-here-ith (Pretty much, Soar-here-ith)
Kiri - Kee-ree (Kear-ee)
Molsth - Mol-sith (Mole-sith)
Lyone - Lee-on (Lay-own OR Lee-own)
When you're speaking some of these names they're of course more tight phonetically than we've broken them out here. For instance with Kiri, you'd say it pretty quickly and not belabor either syllable. Similarly with S'iolaen, it sounds more like "Syo-lane" because of how quickly you'd say it.
While this is fun and informative, I hope no one feels constrained by pronounciation guides or gets too hung up on getting them "right". Our real world has lots of pronunciation variances. I mispronounce names all the time, even in our world and with names I've created. I anxiously await the day someone corrects me in front of an audience of people.
Thanks for caring and sharing!

This is good feedback, actually. I think some of the names and locations are so weird and foreign it makes it hard to digest the story. It does make for some thick, slow reading. Not saying we need the names to be Bran Stark, but maybe not 'Rok'Tsolfyensire'. It's actually a little distracting. Maybe I should stick to Dr. Suess and pop-up books, I don't know.
Aevozul - A voe zuel or eye foe zell or something else
Ginavi - Gen ah vey or Jenna vee
Ithosbrun Hjilen - come on wtf
Haethus-Kevgrejl -
Kaolyen - Kay o la ren maybe? but Istuulamae says fewer syllables so idk
Rhy'Khafirosa - why
Mount Hulthrr, Baaka'rrn and Ka'Druhorr - Is there an R Pat?
