Now that we have released two more streams and a jam-packed August Newsletter, let us know what your favourite parts were below! #PRF #MMORPG #MMO #communitymatters

Favorite part was watching new players have a mostly organic experience in the game. The wipes, the laughs, the learning... utterly fantastic. Totally confirmed for me that my pledge was the right decision!

The stream and subsequent reveal also pretty well set main as an Enchanter (though I haven't totally ruled out Wizard!). While I'm not a big fan of charm mechanics, the rest of their abilities are just the right thing and I can't wait to roll up Roku and go on some adventures ^^

I enjoyed all the reveals and ofc the streams! I rly like the TwitchAllstar stream, mainly cus non of them had any idea what the were doing, where they were going and they had to tackle it on the fly. i like the realism in this point of view.

What i like the most is that VR keep saying, "We need to do this right".
Please continue to make sure all your standarts are in order, all the way through the game. To insure us all that end product will be the best it can be. Thats the way, all games should be developed! Sadly many games are rushed and many titels has failed to have any sucess, because of such pressure to release the game.

From all the Reveals i personally liked the Dire Lord the most, i wont main the DL myself but i think the class in itself is pritty cool and a fresh take on a tank class!

    Keep up your awesome work!
    Upwards and Onwards Friends! <3

Underwraps.  I like to see whats coming.

The streams were great, but nothing we haven't really already seen.  It's nice seeing the combat and game looking more and more polished each time a new steam comes out though, so don't stop.

Seeing Vress having a walkabout in game was cool after the stream ended. Also hearing his impressions of the game, he sounded like he had a blast while playing. More of these subjective perspectives would likely help sell the game. Visually the game looks a bit tame but obviously its really about the subjective experience, how it feels for the player while in the game. Having played EQ over the years it looks slow and repetitive but it's still the best gaming experience I've had to date and its that in game experience that will ultimately sell the game. As such that is the essence that needs to be captured and conveyed in the streams. Its good to show off the development but we also need to highlight the subjective fun challenge exploration etc more.

I think if the streamers are given the opportunity to say how the experience was for them, did they feel immersion, was it, exciting, dangerous, what was their favourite moment, did it feel rewarding, were they compelled to explore. How it compares to other mmos out there when it comes down to actual hands on experience. Or to put it another way a review of their time in game.

I was pleasantly surprised in several ways by the summoner reveal.  The class went a direction that I wasn't expecting and it was cool to see.

Apart from that I thought both streams went well, and really helped show just how far Pantheon has come off to a huge number of people :)

Class reveals were great. Would also love to see more folks run about the world like vress did. Game looks great and I love seeing the landscape while hearing the ambient sounds! Fishing and new zones soon I hope!

Thank you for the information about the timeline. I know it wasn't as specific as some might have wanted but it was a lot more detailed than we have been used to.

No alpha this year isn't what I wanted to read but I can appreciate getting information even though I may be disappointed by the content.

Time for the obligatory - better to wait until it is ready for you to get the full benefit from having us testing in alpha rather than speeding it out to make us happy before you are ready to benefit from the test.

The game is going to enter alpha in a far more polished form and much later in the dev cycle than I expected when I pledged to support at Champion level.  I was looking forward to being in a more raw version of the game.   All systems and classes will be in place by PA4 Fall 2018.  They're already talking about a PA5.   Pantheon Alpha is starting to feel more like what most games ship as Beta or even finished product.

If it sounds like I'm complaining, while I'm disappointed in not having input and experiencing earlier aspects of the development, I'm very encouraged by the team's professionalism and consistent vision.  Clearly, there were lessons learned from Vanguard that we're going to benefit from as players when this game finally ships.

    From the Aug Newsletter

They are also working on some top-secret backend stuff that is a major building block for an online service.

This sounds intriguing. I'm assuming this isn't an API for 3rd party developers but hoping it encompasses some first class guild management tools.

I agree Celendor. If I had any idea how far pre-alpha would go I would have signed up for it. Such is life.

I am very excited for the first pass of the harvesting skill coming in PA4.

Since Elves can't be Clerics I have been playing a Mage in P99/EQ to learn more about the summoning arts.

My mage is level 35 and I'm having a blast, an elf summoner may be my first character at release.

The class reveal's and how great the graphics look. Also the wipe on the first encounter was classic!

I really liked the streams, but the best thing for me was the class reveals. Now I'm looking forward to the day when we can find out more about racial passive abilities!

I do realize the team is small for a project this scale and I imagine everyone is also wearing multiple hats while burning the candle at both ends. It is appreciated out here.

I really enjoyed both the digital streams and the news letter. Any time you can keep a steady amount of information is a good thing. You may think its too early, but it would be nice to see a few more sites other than MMORPG spreading the word. I'm sure this game will reach people in time, but to get more pledges it may behoove the team to do more interviews or at least release them.

Look forward to seeing more. GG VR :D

The fact that you can see in groupwindow where the groupmembers are situated relating to your location is very cool and handy. It's a keeper for sure. Lot's of strategic use for that.

The summoner seems a bit too powerfull with the variety of things they can summon or cast (summoning a ladder, raft, food and drinks for entire group and a portal in one class??). But time will tell if that finally is the case.

Nice to see how the spellflingers are turning out and very enthousiastic about the flexibility of the enchanter.

Also, I couldn't help but notice the dodge on the question relating to ranged classes outside spellcasters. :) Again time will tell what else Pantheon has in store.

I already love how you 'planted' the potential of wizard schools and parts of parchments and spells to be scribed. Hopefully this could spread across through other class as well but with another 'skin' to it.

The vunerability of the enchanter is a nice touch, not everything needs to be locked down, so a potential risk is still present. Yes please.

You lost me on the wizard for a bit, when you say they are about fire (why not heat?), cold and arcane and then start talking about blasts of lightning...

Perhaps it's a language thing, but lightning to my understanding is not arcane. It is elemental yes but more linked to cold and heat then to arcane.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lightning

A very enjoyable stream from the temporary rogue there. Very nice to see where things are going. It was good to see that mobs took time to kill and death is definatly something you want to avoid. So good stuff, keep it up !!

My apologies for the late edit. I just had to add this big note; I LOVED the perception thing!! I hope its worked out for most quests relating to the environment and Terminus as a whole. It would make for such a exploratory game! I can't wait to turn every stone and I could still be missing out on things. Love it. Each his own story to unravel!!

Doc walking up to pull the lookouts and immediately getting double fire-arrowed to death (and the subsequent wipe) was the funniest thing I had seen in a while.

I was so delighted the day my necro finally got a Boner... er... if you know what I mean ;^)

Surely a summoner would be looking for a Stoner?  For the earth pet anyway...

I love the class reveals the most over this past summer. I'm undecided on the class I'll play, but I do like the idea of playing an enchanter as it was one of the few classes I never played during Everquest.

The fact the streamers kept sending the enchanter to engage/pull the mobs because the enchanter is supposed to CC was cracking me up. Obviously, they were not used to challenging content or class roles. A designated puller (ranger in this case with range attacks), tank actually calling/choosing targets, and enchanter *safely* CCing what's left would have optimized their group so much. A lot of this is lost on people as it's not used or necessary any more. I'm not bashing them as it was very entertaining.

Does anyone know if /assist commands are in the game yet?

Ya... i don't think they understood was a resist was..... i guess a lot of games just let the spells land? IDK. The ranger pulling or tank pulling would have been better. They really needed a second healer to be honest. All that DPS with no heals is just bad planning. They had to overlevel the mobs to gain an advantage. In a real PUG there would have been a second healer/dps like a shammy or druid. By-the-by we need to see druid! I want to see what they can do!!

I didn't see anyone try them. They had a Macro toggle so thats promising for those of us that like to hotkey certain things. I miss my big bold /ASS key

edit: that was a pun on ascii, not trying to swear. But i really did have a key labeled that.
