How much should hunger effect regen? cutting it down to maybe about 20% feels like a nice penalty and would deffinitely get your attention.
Should the different races have different metabolisms and diets? I feel like it would add complexity to the system without needing to add TOO MUCH programming time. With Ogres and Skar being larger races they have a higher metabilism, and maybe Skar only eat meat products. Alternativly Elves and Dark Myr have slower metabilsms, with Elves being vegitarians. What would a Gnome made of pure magic eat for fuel? Filters of mana?

Nah, I think just 20% is too EZ. I don't want EZ mode. There are other MMO's for that imo, and I'll leave it at that. :)

Food stacks are already a bit unrealistic, so would it be so awful to be able to stack 1k in food/drink. Fire and forget? Or is that too much for most?
No point in having food and drink in the first place if we can stack so much. /shrug
Agreed.

More importantly to me is having a wide variety stat food and drink made by chefs and brewers, along with some uniquely foraged items to munch on and or sip. Summoners conjuring up some items to eat and guzzle should be level based and perhaps have learned components to spells to improve items, thus giving them stats. To avoid having to have stacks and stacks of said items filling up your packs, items should having a fairly long duration time is the way to go.

Thanks Soaren, I totally agree.

You're stomach rumbles.
You're stomach aches
You feel weak.
You feel faint.
Add sound effect to go with these. Things I'd be okay with.
1. Stomach growling sound when you get really hungry. So loud your party can hear it.
2. You move slower when weak.
3. You faint and fall over with a fart sound then a thud! - like so https://youtu.be/bhwAxZR-Wp4?t=144

What mode do you usually play on?
