I believe Joppa is going to finish out the party, but not sure what he will be playing.
Hope that answers your question
Brad played a ranger in Cohh's stream yesterday, but didn't see too much from him other than a couple of temp pets (bear and panther) a few times. I personally am not a fan of pets that are summoned for 2-3 seconds and then they vanish; just give the class a selection of different pets if you want the class to use pets. Kinda makes me nervous for what they may have in store for the summoner (liked my mage with his pet and pet buffs).
We did learn that Glass Arrow has an AoE component lol. "Woops..." Brad McQuaid, 2018.

They clearly have a design philosophy around shorter duration abiltiies, which definitely scares me.
I want to watch each individual stream independently so i can review each class and how they are being implemented. So thats at least 5 maybe 10 hours of video to watch lol. Guess it depends on how long they play.

Shorter duration abilities typically coincides with faster paced combat which is absolutely a good thing. One of the worst thing about eq1 was how sloooooooooow combat was... this also greatly increased players' abilities to dual box+
Faster paced combat usually means less boxers. (And also a much more entertaining time while boxing)

I'm of the mindset that rangers should have a dedicated pet for a long time (20 levels maybe) before they get a new one. It's something that should be a part of them always at their side, unless dismissed. Have a wide selection at level's 1, 20 and 40 but it shouldn't be summoned easily, not dismissed easily.
I am also looking forward to dynamic combat. Auto attacking a mob 80% of the time in 2018 I do not think so. I am sure EQ1 was amazing, but I highly doubt the same design will be as successful today. We have access to better computer, better network... players have been playing many different games with interesting features. How about we let VR do their things and Trust the process? If people want to auto attack and have super long and slow fights, that's fine. Perhaps they will even make a special 'oldschool' server with cooldown multiply by 10.

My plan is to box a warrior and cleric. But this is definitely contingent on how fast paced combat is and what kind of macro options are available. I won't know until I get my hands in the game in alpha!
Good stream, lots of deaths. :)
One other tidbit dropped in the middle in case anyone missed it is that alpha is getting pushed back a bit as they've scheduled a few additional phases of pre-alpha. Info should be in the upcoming news letter.

In other news...that AoE...lol

I disagree and agree. Its was fun for the guys playing, but boring for the people watching. Had I been in a pug group like that I would have left it long ago lol. the occacional wipe is fine but that was way too much for my taste. and we didnt see much more form the zones because they couldn't handle same or higher lvl content.

That's pretty harsh for newbies learning the game lol. it's supposed to be challanging! =P

I definitely enjoyed watching them have fun. Zero expectations. If you only expect great players who don't make mistakes, good luck. Nobody is perfect and I guarantee you will die because of mistakes you didn't see coming. If you haven't played an MMO like this, your expectations aren't going to be satisfied. Either way it was a great stream.

To add to this, correct me if I'm wrong - I probably am, haha- but the idea for tonight's stream was (HiveLeader's) idea? I wasn't 100% paying attention to the banter, but I know at least some of them are good friends. Doc mentioned that he missed the EQ-era, and that this was a pretty eye-opening experience and that he could definitely see what old EQ fans are on about. If that's correct, you more or less had a guy bringing his friends into the game for the first time for a mostly-organic experience which IMO, is quite priceless. We weren't told to expect seasoned Pantheon veterans tonight that I'm aware of, so I didn't really have that expectation going in.
The kinds of experiences they had tonight remind me a lot of my own in the ye olde days. My friends and I still laugh about the time Squire Wimbly aggroed and absolutely trashed the two Dark Elves in the party while the rest of us, non-evil races, watched. Or the time that our Wizard dinged, but was died to a DoT shortly after, and lost his level that he'd just gotten. The rough times can be a great thing to bond and laugh over (if you have a sense of humor). I said it elsewheres but again, fabulous stream tonight. Looked like a great time and I'm totally jealous!
We are in the process of inviting a variety of different streamers with hopefully very different perspectives and audiences in order to increase Pantheon awareness. Tonight was amazing. That some of you liked it and some of you didn't is par for the course and will probably continue to be true as we strive to expose the game to both old and new Fantheons.
