That was worth the wait! It’s only an hour long so spouse faction should be ok! :D
I have a suggestion: After watching and seeing the gorgeous terrain, what about having a tent we could get so we can camp in the forests? There is certain a lot of area and it would give a new perspective on things!
Can’t wait to get my Druid in and start really getting to know this new world. Each look gets better and better. Thanks to all who participated today!
I especially enjoyed the "oops" moments. Though, I think the Devs misunderstood one of Cohh's questions. He asked if there would be advantages to positioning no matter your class. IE: Flanking bonuses even if you aren't a rogue-type, just because the mob is surrounded.
Do we know if something like that is in the works?
Yep very nice stream, even with the late start! I haven't been able to see too many of the streams live due to work, but 10,000+ viewers...well done people, well done! Can't wait for tomorrow's stream, and the newsletter on Wed will hopefully have the caster class reveals :) Looking forward to the enchanter and summoner write ups!
The game is looking great VR, keep it up!

Joppa would have the details, but positioning is an important part of the tactical nature of Pantheon, so I can see it sprinkled around and used for a lot more than, say, a Rogues backstab.
I hope to see a two handed run animation and attack swing. Looks funny seeing a character holding such a heavy weapon as if its weightless. All in good time.
I believe it was Benjamin Dean who mentioned pre-alpha 4 coming up next. What is the last version of pre-alpha before Alpha begins?

I think he said that there would be a rough outline of what's coming next with regards to PA4 and Alpha. No specific dates, but a rought outline.

Ah! Good to know, sir! We'll keep our eyes peeled for more information later.
Great stream guys! I stayed on the Visionary Realms twitch site and watched it there... Didn't want the distraction of the Cohh chatspam...
Looking forward to the next one tomorrow!

After watching how the new resource system is working: this is exactly how i imagined a melee character would utilize a resource/mana pool.
I am really digging how the bear and panther animations just pop in when one of those skills are used. This is the game i am really starting to get excited about.
And the direlord might have more spikey heals and such, but i am loving the resource control and abilities demonstrated in the stream. The exponential aggro ability may make them a more desired crowd control tank. They can literally lock the hate onto them.
I also like how even though the skills may be powerful they have a shorter duration meaning you really need to manage those resources. I am just really digging the Direlord right now. Cant wait to see other classes in action.
Just watched the stream and I'm very pleased with the improvements all around! The DL class abilities are really cool and the gameplay of it looks like lots of fun. I'm jazzed that Cohh said he could think of so many ways to weave the abilities. When someone says they want to spend the next 6 hours digging into the class it means there's some meat and grisltle on the bones. That's awesome.
Another thing I really liked was seeing the new spell and ability visual effects. Although a couple appeared to dominate the overall visual space (sorry not to be able to state which ones though). But I understand there is no optimization yet. So no worries there.
Also, the zone looks really sweet from the different vantage points shown in the stream. Looking good!
Thanks Cohh and VR for a really great stream!
Thanks all -- very encouraging responses which just fuels us further :) Onward!!!!!!!
I also liked seeing the all-gnome group on the ramparts along with the casual comment that "they were keeping things clear, there" . Plus to see them jumping up and down on the ramparts before the group got into blackrose keep ws a bit of whimsy that made me smile.
What I found intersting about that was just that, the all-gnome group. It was clearly non-standard due to class selection limitations. Plus they were holding down that camp on the ramparts (and jumping for friends between spawns)
I imagine: they were fighting like gnomes and from a world immersion perspective how strange it would be for a gnome in Terminus to come accross other races with different class abilities and have to learn how to group with them. I also liked seeing the different masks, I think one gnome had a black mask under a white cowl but that may have been a shadow from the cowl.
KrasnayaSolnza said: One of the most annoying aspects to FFXIV was positioning. I played a ninja and so if you had a crappy tank that kept moving like many of them do for no reason other than they suck, you can’t get any of your flanking attacks in. Some of my abilities were for behind the mob only and some from flanking (side) only. Playing a range caster was ease pease while playing melee with a **** tank was annoying as hell. But I could see how someone thought - I am only going to allow this class attack abilities if they are attacking from a back or side position this should make choices interesting. Except it wasn’t interesting because there was no choice. If I was behind the mob I would hit my combos and move to the side and hit my combos. It was just a lot of work with no interest or thought required.
For those of us who cut our teeth on Everquest orginally, tanking was ingrained into you. There's no hopping around, moving, goofing around while tanking or you can wipe the party to easy. With cone effects, riposte dmg, and other nasty tricks from mobs that the developers throw in, Tanks were trained to put the mobs back to the group and everyone is trained to stay on the backside of the mob to avoide those types of additional dmg coming in. For those people who haven't played EQ, they will get a very quick lesson as to what to do and what not to do.
