Kratuk said:Kilsin posted this up in the announcement section. Unfortunately, atm, Pantheon has dropped to number 2 at 20.8% and Ashes of Creation up at 22.3. Of course, that's before MMORPG goes through the tally to make sure no one has been creating sockpuppet accounts to boost the voting numbers, which did happen last time when Pantheon won last year with the initial number 1 game in a close race. That's not to say that's happening here (AoC certainly has some numbers in the playerbase ready to see it launch), just covering the bases. Both Pantheon and AoC kind of have a claim to the spirit of the next EQ throne with AoC being essentially what EQN would have been and Pantheon being a spiritual successor to the original EQ of sorts.
Hadn't really heard of AoC either but my first impression was EQN when watching a video and learning about it as well. I was never really a fan of what they were doing with EQN and looked to be EQ by name only.
Posting this here as well for those interested:
Good news fellas. After the scrubbing of bogus voting, Pantheon wins 28.7% to 21.7%. Grats to Pantheon for Most Wanted MMO winner 2 years running.
