Pronunciation Guide

When talking in guild chat about characters or locations, it's always interesting to hear the different pronunciations that people come up with, especially for names in foreign tongues.  Sometimes a pronunciation that someone uses is different enough from how I would pronounce it that it takes me a second to know what is being talked about.

For instance, on the latest stream, the Forum of Ocirico was shown.  oh-SEAR-ih-koh is how the devs pronounced it, but I can think of many different ways to say this. I think the devs are talking about the people and places of Terminus on a daily basis and probably take pronunciation for granted.

Any chance we can have pronunciation guide?

Here is a previous thread on it where a few of them are laid out.  https://www.pantheonmmo.com/content/forums/topic/7088/how-do-you-pronounce/view/post_id/131480

    That is a good idea.

In EQ, there are many locations and NPC's that people pronounce differently (or are literally unpronounceable).

    Qeynos

    • Kay-nos
    • Quey-nos

    Luclin

    • Luck-lin
    • Loose-lin

    Lord Nagafen

    • Lord Noga-fin
    • Lord Naga-fin

    Tolapumj

    • Tola-pum
    • To-lap-umg

    Xorbinasticalus Zimralicus

    • ?

    Vaxxim T`Quoren

    • ?

Would be nice to have a list that are detailed phoneticly.

Didn't think to look for other threads on this. And all so recently.  Istuulame says, "While this is fun and informative, I hope no one feels constrained by pronounciation guides or gets too hung up on getting them "right". Our real world has lots of pronunciation variances. I mispronounce names all the time, even in our world and with names I've created. I anxiously await the day someone corrects me in front of an audience of people. "

I would point out that most people get really annoyed when you pronounce their names wrong.  Getting them close enough would be nice... Skar and Dragon languages have some difficult to pronounce names.  How about a guide for just those?
