VR has decided to remove all player AoE abilities (due to a class action lawsuit brought about by the ASPCA and other animal lovers along with the Sierra Club and tree huggers in general) so as not to harm any flora or fauna. It has also been decided, after careful deliberation, that using weapons or spells to hurt or harm ANY creature or life form was not what VR envisioned so they have decided to cancel Pantheon.

After many investigations into why animals stopped wanting to be pets, we discovered it was becuase of their owner's and groupmates casting AoE damage spells. Due to the large amount of pet adoption applications, the developers have made it so that friendly fire does not harm pets or friends and the debacle of not having familiars/pets has been avoided.
