I really enjoyed having the visuals to accompany the lore.  Only possible erratum that I noticed was that you describe the Ginto as arriving during a collision in 450 IH.  Maybe @Istuulamae can clarify, but I believe the Ginto are actually one of the native races of Terminus.  According to the lore, it's the Dark Myr and the Archai that both arrive in 450:

With the Second Era of Collisions starting in the Spring of 450, the Age of Chaos officially began. Nearly on top of each other came the Myr of Issul (hereafter referred to as Dark Myr) near the Ogres of Broken Maw in what would become the continent of Reignfall, and the Archai of Roa to the south, in the realm of Whitethaw and nearest to the Dwarves and Khadassa.

"In 450 IH, the Third Era of Collisions began, critically starting with the aforementioned Ginto. At the time of the arrival, their Infinite Union was already crippled."

Direct quote from the lore page on the Age of Seclusion. Unless I am horribly misinterpreting this, that means that the Ginto did arrive in Terminus (arrive meaning not native, as far as I can understand) in 450 or near enough that citing that year works.

This means that the Archai and Myr came like right after the Ginto, which is fine.

As a side note, the one mistake that is in the video is that there are only three eras of collision, not four. The lore page has a few little quirks to work out, and Istumulaae posted on another thread confirming that there are only three eras of collision. The Ginto, Myr, Archai, and Humans all arrive during the second era of collision. What I called the fourth era of collision in my video should actually be the third era of collision, but otherwise it should be correct.

Since the timeline video was my first (and I've already learned a lot about sound quality and video production), I'll definitely be redoing it at some point before launch to fix the eras of collision and to improve the sound/video!

New video! It's all about the Perception System, as hinted in my "What is Pantheon" vid. :)

I figured out how to put video in my video! \o/

You're right, not sure how I missed that!

The new video is great, btw.

    Excellent job Temmi!

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this - and +1 for all of the many name pronunciations you nailed. Keep these coming, excited to hear more of them!

I can't wait to upload my next video. I used some of your amazing music in it, since I just figured out how to add music backgrounds to the voiceover!

I’m glad you and others are making these video because let’s face it, Pantheons lore is not easy. It’s almost to the point of overly complicated in some places. My thoughts are that allot of the names of gods and important characters seem very difficult to pronounce which makes them difficult to remember. Hopefully as we hear them more and more it will become easier. I have read everything myself, listen to yours and others talk about it but if you asked me to name any of the important characters I would have trouble. EQ god names and such seemed much easier to remember because they have shorter names most of the time, but this may also be due to hearing them over and over in game. I’m hoping that the official Dev team understands how important it is to get the lore to a point that everyone can understand it.

Long story short I really would like to understand the lore as I play the game as I generally like games much better when I do.

    Good listen..

Something seems off if you need to congratulate someone on pronouncing the names in the main lore. She did do a great job and I could never read the lore out loud. It seems so flawed to make lore names that even the devs think are difficult to say. I have a strong feeling you will end up with people saying things like “that one dragon” or “the evil dude” because let’s face it your average gamer not going to search for pronunciation.

Taking down the "What is Pantheon" and "The Perception System" videos for the moment. I'm working on making way way WAY better versions that I'm not going to seriously regret in a few months, so stay tuned for the updated versions with all the fancy stuff I've been learning this week!

EDIT: Finished fixing up the "What is Pantheon" video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BopZbfVd4s8

EDIT EDIT: Finished updating my "Perception System" video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6_N_XdH8ko

Will redo the Timeline one at some point before launch, not just this moment though. :)

What do you guys think of the intro/background music/video?

I have a hunch we'll end up with commonly known nicknames for the more difficult names.. knowing human nature. :)  And those will be passed around.

Good improvements! Nice coverage as always - I think your vids are my new favorite way to review the lore haha. The background music is pleasant and not overbearing. I had this random thought that perhaps having VR's logo the first thing that shows up could suggest to some people that the video is officially endorsed by them? That might be a bit of a stretch, but maybe have your own logo/stamp be more predominant? Especially if this is something you plan on doing for a while. Just a thought :)

Oh! I didn't think of that. I'm actually getting a little TemTem logo made, and I'll put that part first, then go into the VR/Pantheon intro after!

Thanks for the support and suggestions!

As an aside for anyone interested, if there's something you want me to cover in the lore, please feel free to suggest it either here or on YouTube. I'm trying to keep my lore series relatively concise and accurate and clear, so I can't really delve into topic that we just have nothing on yet!

I just want to be clear, I'm their lore historian so I'm not an ideas guy per se. My plan is to become a living lore encyclopedia so that the world we get to play in is as cohesive as it can be. I'm hoping people like Temmi will keep making lore stuff and speculating, and if you have particular lore questions I'll try to help best I can when I see them, if lore guy presence makes sense.

Incidentally, having read the Dragon Accord and other documents describing how the world came to be I can assure you that the lore team has some crazy stuff in store. The best way to describe it is like the current published lore is the tip of the Cthulu. Look forward to it!
