Thanks for the kind words Nayrue .

I still stay with Ghorrok . As this world is said to be glacial ranges and magma flows, after the glacial ranges above I did the magma flow landscape of Ghorrok mountains below .

The Forgotten Keep of the Revenants .

I imagined that after the Revenants lost the war, the survivors fled to their far eastern wastes where they plot revenge in this keep .

The last few look very fractal-heavy. Lots of symmetry and repetitions overall. An interesting form of art. Good texture quality too btw

Well all these creations are what is called "fractal art" :)

Symetries are not an "automatic" fractal feature but when I do architectural subjects, I always look for symetries simply because I find non symetrical architecture ugly . Your mileage may vary :)

The basic motivation of fractal art is to represent a subject with fractals . It is a similar motivation like in abstract art which moves away from a (photo)realism by using abstract geometric shapes and colors .

The difference with "clasical" abstract art being that fractal art stays nearer to the underlying subject (it can be spontaneously "recognized") and has an uncountable infinity of very rich shapes, colors and textures .

The fractals have an interesting property which is that their number is uncountably infinite (e.g there is infinitely more of them than the natural numbers : 1,2,3.....) .

This has for consequence that every piece is unique because the probability that someone would find a similar one is 0 for all practical purposes .

So just for amusement I tried to create a unique piece of jewelry . It was quite difficult because I had to look for it among the already mentionned infinity of other fractals which don't look like jewelery at all :) But here we go for a Golden Saphire Necklace .

This time I played with more humanoid themes and created a Necromancer .

The first image is a pure fractal and in the second one I integrated the Necromancer in a non fractal background to see what kind of effect I could have .

For the keen eye critics , yes I realize that with a background dominated by the cold moonlight I should have changed the colors  of the necromancer towards colder (bluish)  to blend him better in the environment but I didn't want to spend much time on what was just a test .
