  I watched a few gameplay videos and noticed begging skill is missing.  What's up with that?

  Considered adding a Luck stat? begging, gatherig crafted materials or mob drops are improved slightly depending on the player/group/raid/ collective luck average right when the mob was killed.  So yes you can say people can save up a whole set of luck+ gear to beg or to switch to right before the mob hits that 0%.  That can add a whole new layer to the game.

  Hey I enjoyed begging in EQ1 and SoD, it was a heck of a lot of fun.

  Hopefully it isn't as easy to switch gear "on the fly" like in some games.

  Also, hate beggars in MMOs...sorry, just do. Go out and earn it. :)

  I believe he was referring to the begging kill in EQ1.  You could "beg" NPCs and they would either give you money, or attack you.  I died to quite a few NPCs back in the day  :)

  I had my begging skill to 100.  I'd practice it on every character just for fun. It was entertaining listening to all the different responses you would get.

  The begging skill was like a poor-mans taunt.

  If successfull, it could turn the monster on you briefly if in a group.

  It was fun! 

  I also HATE beggars in MMOs, those people begging other players for loot, gear or PLVLing.  But begging from NPCs is a riot, that was fun.  Like playing russina rulette.

  Without beggars, I'd have fewer uses for my "Go die in a fire" chat macro. I love pressing that button.

  I loved the "begging" skill in EQ. I used it as an additional taunt, and it gave me great delight to tease groupmembers in downtimes.  I think the best I ever got off a guard was like 5 silver...I was thrilled!
