Istuulamae,
Roughly new to the Lore forums and bogged down with school... Finally have a week break to splurge on this upcoming gem of a game. So excited!
Eager for the Rogue class and I've contributed lots in discussions about the lore expectations behind them and how they will turn out in the game... Which leads me to:
Are there going to be in-depth lore related quests for each class? If so, will there be epic quest chains that suck me in just as EQ did so long ago? I truly miss that.
Thanks,
-Steelear

Hey Steelear -
Good to give school its proper priority. Glad to have you back for a bit.
The plan right now is yes to have both a class-centric quest or line, and certainly epics. Lore will be vital to them all, and will be pulled from stories, peoples and PoIs native to the world, not just slapped on top of it or artificially pumped up.

Right now we're trying to hold the right balance between keeping secrets for the ingame experience, keeping you all engaged with new or fresh content, and supplying what we need for world creation and oversight as we build the game. Two things impact what we do with Lore:
1) The long term perspective that pushing out Lore publicly impacts (to some degree) what we have to reveal in game. This is probably more noticable in out semi-open development though, because we have awhile before we launch but it's also been awhile since we posted the original stuff on the website. We can balance that with smart releases that setup the mysteries of Terminus, or give info on stuff that isn't as "oooh secret story time!" but nonetheless quite interesting. I'll need to think on that.
2) As of right now, as you guys are probably sick of hearing, we've got to be very careful with how we allocate manpower. Because we demand that everything developmentally is fed by Lore first, it can starve some of the other avenues, like public releases for instance. That's not our desire, but it is a bit of our reality at the moment.
But longer term? Yeah, I'd love it if we published Lore in an ebook form. Especially if it's something you all think you would enjoy.
I Would love to see the lore in Ebook form, I think it will help tie all the lore that is currently released into a chronological order based off "time" Instead of going okay I am going to read this one because I know its the first, then trying to figure out which comes next I.E. "The Age of Seclusion" or "letters between the Human Narian Castigue and the Elf Kaolyen Greyborne." Then needing to figure out where you have left off again in the story.
I am also curious about what Tel’Nharssis meant by “Never again will I permit your miserable kind to trespass my lands, Dwarf. May the coming plague swallow you whole!” from
Would the dragon mean the end of "Dragons Accord" when said pact ends and a war between the dragons and different Race's start? (If the Dragons accord is even a Pact).
Why Would the Dragons hide this "Pact, Dragons Accord" from the different races? As the Dragon Tel'Nharssis said “And so shall it be in the eyes of every last Rhy'Vulrene upon Nhystyrrok. Every Watcher, Ender, Protector, Devourer and even the Reignborn themselves shall cover the sky and ground like the all-consuming breath of the Dragon King. When word goes forth that an inquisitive, ignorant human has his wretched fingers clutched around even a copy of Rok’Nhilthamos’ signet-tongue, the empire of his people will be turned to ash and bone to retrieve it.”
There has to be some sort of Catch behind this "Dragon's Accord" that if the different race's find out it might ruin the dragons plans of destroying or even enslaving the different races?
Even The Keepings of Castigue III, ends on 474 I.H. That is during the time of "The Age of Chaos", as The Frail Age (Current) is 486+ I.H.

That's a great suggestion. I think as we continue to add lore to the site, we will begin to categorize it better. Chronologically is a great approach, even at this early stage.
I don't normally like to solve parts of the story, but since a sliver of the answer to what you're asking is actually in the Third Keeping, I want to draw your attention to it. The important part of the exchange between Tel'Nharssis and Khazas is actually just a bit farther down --
“Oh? You shall raise alarm amongst the Dragons?” Khazas’ ease remained invincible. “Tell me, Tel’Nharssis, have you regained your place among them?” At this riposte, the beast winced and something inside him heeled, briefly.
“And further, I wonder if they will perceive the quality of your intentions this night as favorably as we have.”
Three things should be clear from the encounter:
1) Narian and Khazas don't know what is in the Dragon Accord.
2) Tel'Nharssis doesn't know what is in the Dragon Accord.
3) Tel'Nharssis has lost his position with the rest of Dragonkind.
Beyond that, I must leave you to surmise the secrets...

Hmm Interesting, I did not think about it that way; that the dragon also did not know what is in the Dragon Accord. So more question arise now, Why has Tel'Nharssis lost his position with the rest of dragonkind? Does Tel'Nharssis even have the ability to read the higher hierarchy of dragon language?
