I personally am tired of waiting for alpha which I donated for. Please please please give me something more than these PTW knock offs of mmos that are out there, I need something to fill about 80_ hours a week. Being disabled this is my only outlet, and so looking forward to this to actually enjoy discovery it is not even funny. Send out early alphas and alphas already!

I know it's the same old song, but seriously, would you rather play now and have so many things broken that the downtime and patching would be endless? Or would you rather wait another couple of months so they can do some core bug testing and give us better things to test? Keep your cool and let them take their time. And complaining doesn't make them work faster, it just drags them away from the important stuff so they can publicly deal with you. Think about the bigger picture and just be thankful a game like this is even being made!

And yup, we should thank VR. Other developers have abandoned this game style.. I don't see any others doing it.
Your problem is that Pantheon has yet to release so as for you to fill those 80hours per week? Or that you have allowed yourself to have said 80hours a week in the first place? :)
Plenty of hobbies a disabled person can pick up. Plenty requiring zero physical/bodily input. Get started! :)
Grim man, It is most likely going to be 4+ months at least until Alpha. and beta most likely will not be until at least december 2016 (all this is just my own speculation based on the little information we have about the game and in no way has been explicitly stated by any of the dev team.)
everyone here has Donated their money to help make this game happen, and has some sort of early access benefit. We are all waiting for Pantheon to sink our teeth into. but good things can not be rushed. even if it takes longer than my guesstimations above i will still be happy when i get to play because it means they are taking this game seriously and doing their best to make it GREAT. I myself am spending my time while waiting by reading around 30 different webnovels some originally in english and some Translated from other languages. Also sometimes playing Witcher 3 and Tales of zesteria.

If you want something more than these PTW knock offs then you need to be patient man, we don't want a game like that either but it takes time, a lot of time, and as much as it sucks waiting for anything in life, the longer the better in this instance...
Deadlyfury said it best and it may sound like a broken record but it's the truth, it just isn't ready for public testing yet, when it is, we will release it as soon as humanly possible! Sending out early alphas won't help us in the slightest and it may even hurt us and slow our development down, so hang in there a little longer mate, it will be worth it in the end. :)
Its a big decision to allow your product to be seen by potentially thousands of people and even with an NDA in place, it can have a disastrous effect if done prematurely. I'm glad VRI hasn't rushed to alpha. Its commonly used as an easy way to get money from impatient players and the fact that they haven't resorted to it shows they are more interested in the future and creating a better game.

With all due respect ma'am, but in this we disagree :)
I hope it takes them at least a full year prior to "opening" the doors to the public. You only do this once.. the consequences however.. you endure forever, lol
I got no other mmorpg to hope/wait for. This has to succeed, or i may as well start taking golf courses or something, lol.. So am aaaaaaaaall up for waiting, the more the merrier ^^

I respect the fact that you are willing to disagree with me Aenra, however I think you misunderstood my post -you need to read what I was happy about! We are on the same side lol. Perhaps my brevity is to blame. Are you on your phone again;) ? I was happy about Kilsin's saying we want more than "........ want something more than these PTW knock offs ......." - That is music to my ears! I have followed Pantheon from before the kickstarter and been a forum participent from the beginning. Good things come to those who wait!
So to clarify I was not agreeing with OP, I was simply happy that VRI and Kilsin said that they are taking their time to get the game right: reposting the conversation for clarity:

I took the main complaint to be the state of today's MMOs, not that Pantheon isn't "ready". It's a cry many of us have made.
Apologies for the delay..:)
It seems i did misunderstand, sorry Zarriya! I saw this post:

And the impression i got was that your saying "music to my ears" signified an agreement with the post you quoted.. a post asking for more.. hence my reply.. Apparently i was mistaken to have perceived it thus, so again, my apologies. Either way, i hope you weren't offended. I understand i have a particular (at times..always..?) way of expressing myself, which is why you saw all the smilies in my original post.. no offense was meant either way :)

Oh I know you didnt mean it negatively :) no offense at all !
AFAIK the game is just now getting to where they can start to put content in, we've still got a ways to go for alpha testing. Honestly, playing the game at this point would probably be a let down, because as Brad said there isn't much in the game now that is really unique to Pantheon, it's kindof a "MMO template" if you will, at this point anyway. There are a ton of good games out there to play, if you're hankering for an MMO, I'd recommend trying Project 1999 EverQuest, Kronos/Nostalrius World of Warcraft, Star Wars Galaxies : Awakening, or Project Gorgon.
Pantheon will be playable in due time, and whether we know it or not, we'll enjoy it much more if it's had enough time spent in development to be unique and have a good deal of content ready for us. :)
Also, if anyone is playing Project 1999 on the Red(PvP) server, add Happytrees and Vudu to your friends list. Happy is a 54 Paladin currently and Vudu a 34 Shaman, I can help you guys out on either one.

Well then you didn't read the entirety of the post.
I bolder it for you ;) pretty clear that it is an outcry for access to play, hence he wants it to be ready.
But I agree it is also about making it a deeper game than just "show up, pay and win"

It sounds like you need some for the immediate (80 hours...), I would suggest stimulating yourself in a current MMO. Sure, its not what you think you want, but at least it will keep you from raging or getting disapointed.
Everything about Pantheon is anti-rushing it out the door. Therefor, patience is key. Some of us have been waiting since months before the Kickstarter. Heck, how do you think the team/Brad feels? Don't you think they are even more anxious then we are wanting validation? I mean just read Brad's words about the Wolf article. You can sense the pride, anxiety, passion in it.
Stick it out man, or don't. Whatever you do, dont frustrate yourself. Its sounds like you already have enough in your life to deal with. Find something positive.

I read the whole post, thank you very much. The reason he/she wants something so badly is because there is a huge gap in the market for games that don't suck. He needs something to play, it's a commentary on the state of the industry.

Correct, this is the reason they want access, but they still wants access :)
so all of us were stating why they/we shouldn't/couldn't have access yet.
We are talking about the same thing, yours is the reason they wants an action, mine is the action they want.
I just find it odd that you quoted my post like I got something wrong... which is why I responded
No one wants to wait, and likely most people here also paid so they could get alpha but I really want Brad to FINISH the game. Not throw out some half baked game that needed another year in the oven.
I am So excited fot this game, just like everyone, but more than anything I want a good, finsihed game, not a half finished game.
Delay Alpha and Beta, or do anything you need to for this game to be developed as fast as possible.
I will be throwing a lot more money at Pantheon/VR after seeing the Twitch stream, maybe that will help ;)

This guy... so much right. *bro fist*
Notice the stated purpose of testing is to help development. This is an old skool approach for an old skool game and it is extremely correct. An alpha test is for TESTING not for PLAYING. That is the difference beween the old and new skool when it comes to game development.
When you let people PLAY an unfinished game you take a lot of wind out of its sails. It is far better to set an expectation of TESTING, and only as much TESTING as is needed to help development. The moment you let people PLAY a game then you are subject to the judgment and expectation of a retail release. Invariably expectations are not met, you get negative press, and your fan base dwindles. It's like giving birth too early before the baby is fully formed.
Good job, VR. Take your time, do it right, and let us know when you need some testers.
