I've not found anything specific that would shed light on his identity but I have to say I love this lore. I just recently combed through it all again after several months and found many connections that I had previously overlooked (the updated map alongside the lore is a great tool as well, especially when referencing where major conflicts took place). I really hope that this lore continues both in and out of game. I generally am one who ingests more lore outside of game but this type of depth present in game will be hugely valuable IMO.

I agree! Other than some logistical questions I have about timelines etc it was the lore of the game that really brought me in. I love a world with rich lore and if the lore of a game is poor then I find it hard to get involved in it.
The only thing I have discovered about the Keeper is from the keeping of things. If I had to guess he is what he seems and is just a vehicle for the lore. I would imagine that he is probably going to be central in some quest storyline or expansion storyline where by following his notes we will be eventually lead to something of great historic value.

Yeah this is what I thought as well but I personally hope that the Keeper is more than just an abstract vehicle for lore.
I don’t mind when they add abstract methods of telling lore but this one seems rather obvious and just sticks out to me as such if that is the case.

In my mind he might be a bit like Firiona Vie from EQ1 where she was in the lore and on the covers but had a bigger outside the game precense than in the game one.
Hey everyone. So glad you've got an interest in our friend, the Keeper.
As you can tell, the primary role of the Keeper at this moment is that of a historian or documentarian, gathering the major narratives of Terminus under one roof and speaking them in one voice. As hinted at in the entry "On Keeping", it is an unofficial positon, but one that requires an almost militant dedication nontheless. From the danger spoken of, it should be clear that the office has some level of effect in the world at large, though that is not the Keeper's intent.
As for how the Keeper will interact with the players -- it won't be in a consistent way. We can't have a constant narrative voice leading everyone around, forcing them to hear the story in the exact same way or presenting the information in the same words. But the Keeper -- at this point -- will have a part to play in the game world. But it'll be more of a "where" than a "when", I'd imagine.
Thanks so much for these questions. I'll try to answer more of them soon, and thank you all for your patience. Be blessed.

Thank you so much Istuulamae for stopping by to answer! You made my day! I am making it my personal goal to get these lore forums popping with questions as Lore is essential for me to really "live" in the world so the more I know the more I immerse myself in the world at large! Thank you!

Thanks so much for jumping in and offering some insight, @Istuulamae. As I've mentioned in the past, I'm very much enjoying the lore, and on a macro level, your writing style as a whole.
As far as the Keeper goes, my guess was that he would play a much larger role as the game progresses and we gain access to more of the story. As a character, he reminds me a bit of one of my favorite fantasy characters, Croaker, from "The Black Company" series, written by Glen Cook. Without giving away the whole story, Croaker acts as the analyst for the company and is responsible for keeping the history of the company safe, all the while recording the deeds (both noble and nefarious) of the aforementioned. If you are unfamiliar with the character or the books, I think you would enjoy them. I will include a link to Wikipedia about the series in the event anyone is interested. Enjoy!
I do believe Howard may have had a run in with this keeper fellow?... or collector of things?
