I share your impatience. Vanguard Bard was my favorite Class, and the Panth Bard has a high chance of becoming my Main.
For a long time, Bard was a higher priority than Necro and Joppa always said he expected it before Release. But when VR decided to do EA, they needed a 2nd Support role available and Necro was much easier to complete than Bard (since Bard requires more unique systems that haven't been created yet). I haven't heard Joppa say anything about the Bard since Necro was added to playable Classes.
At this point it MAY arrive before Release, but I wouldn't get my hopes up unless and until we get a clear statement on the subject.
I'll be happy with just knowing the mechanics. I'll also be happy when we get Archai, Gnome and Skar, but if Bard comes out, I think the server populations will explode haha! So many people are dying for it. I've said it so many times before (even though all of the classes are ever-changing) I find it very very difficult to play any character for more than 10-15 levels before FOMO of the Bard sets in and I don't want to play the class I'm playing until I try the Bard.
Sucks, but that is how I am with any game that has "very different" options - I want to try them all out before I make a commitment.
