I know we're far from complete, but I thought I would post a couple of concerns that I "personally" experience after first saying that the class itself is overall very enjoyable for me.
-I think Hirode feels really gimmicky - like it could just be a buff that gives Hirode's gaze/focus, a banner ability for winewoven lasso, and Hirode's flame. It already uses 2 LAS... and the lasso is so situational, it could easily just be another LAS that you could use when needed.
-- It would be less gimmicky if Hirode's flame used Hirode's mana until it was gone, then used the Druid's mana. And/or Hirode could cast it without you having to stand. :(
- If Hirode is supposed to be an extension of the Druid... and the Druid can melee attack... why can't Hirode auto attack? Maybe have Hirode use the Druid's actions: (/rest /auto attack) so whatever the Druid does, Hirode just amplifies it but still can't be controlled like normal pets.
(Having Hirode's melee trigger off of the Druid's melee would prevent the use of Hirode from just being a mana free DoT at ranged (like the Shaman's pet) and instead just be an "extension" of the Druid's melee).
Weird reasoning note: Hirode can cast vinewoven lasso but can't cast vine whip?
It feels too gimmicky to have it just stand there and take up 2 LAS. Give me a heal and a buff (that acts as hirode's gaze & focus) and another "very situational" LAS for vinewoven lasso and call it good; or give me a companion from Masae that is an extension of the Druid...
Another acceptable tradeoff for not having the companion attack could be allowing for the casting of of the Druid's Verdanfire (and of course Hirode) spells through Hirode... while sitting.
Just doesn't feel great right now... maybe it will feel better later if Hirode can actually cast different spells to just expand the Druid's LAS???
-I also think its a safe assumption that the 'snare' line of spells is being addressed
-Gust of Wind should maybe have a shorter/instant cast time as an interrupt ability?
