Great job on the unity 6. lighting is better, shadows are calculating from light source correctly (like lamps).
i see the torches got a light upgrade back to original...too bright imo for a starter torch. maybe they'll be dimmed down to get you to do a quest for better one.
great job on the magelight / additive light blue / vs redness. looks really, really good and realistic, and additive lighting when standing near others with torches.
and much better job reducing the crazy number of light sources in caves, it was easier to fight in caves than at night outside with all the nutso light sources.
the cave light calculations are broken by the trappers / peltmaster crane cave outside demith towards halnir's. it's full daylight to the back of the cave.
also thank you so very much for the health of target's target green bar below the mob so you can see what the enemy is going to hit next. the look is clean and simple and effective.
fear of death in the game is gone for me. level 12 corpse summons and you can still get xp rez ? i have zero fear of having my body somewhere. not sure what the solution is when corpses get stuck in the geometry sometimes...but on live release corpse summon 20+ seems much more reasonable, and penalty to exp rez (like 25 % less xp on a rez after it's summoned .. ?)
the black screens on the nvidia 900 series - 100% fixed for my 970GTX . i do not have the checkbox enabled to disable sky, as it is no longer needed.
i did state on the forums before it's not a video card outdated issue - it's a memory leak or something, as all cards use DX11/DX12 to do everything, so good job on that fix !
i see the wizard spelll graphics are WAY turned down now - the volcanic ash is way less awesome, no heat distortion etc, and the frost spells don't look like any kind of ice at all. hope they come back for high level spells, they looked SO GOOD. (eq2 covering mobs in ice looked so good and immersive, as an example)
now...other memory leak issue or something..randomly, i can get 10 fps , or 30+fps.. and sometimes 60-70+ fps - and it doesn't matter day, night, rain, shine, avalia, demith, forested areas, mountains, etc - sometimes the game runs "fair", other times "awesome" - but what is consistent is that going from "high detail" to "medium" cuts the framerate in half.. whatever my current fps is.
and those are real fps settings - i was at 10fps last night when showing my friend the game, and it was CHUNKY as hell. logged out and in again. no difference. then 20 minutes later fighting in the same area (same time of day, night) - suddenly boom 70 fps.
anyone else with the big swings in fps smoothness of the game ?
