You can run both the VR client and Steam on the same machine, at the same time, with few issues (depends on your rig). The only real issue I've come across is more of an annoyance, if you run both clients the settings data, namely for bag locations, will only save on one client. This started after last patch, but I am guessing it was not thought about as not many will be running both clients, at the same time, on the same rig. (honestly great for testing imo)
Just keep in mind this game is still in development and boxing is not something they will prioritize, although turning /follow on would be awesome :)
Just be careful using third party software for boxing, as long as you are fully in control of both accounts (no automation, aka botting) there are to term of service violations.

So you are able to have 2 VR game accounts running at the same time, both started with VR's game launcher?
How do you set up that system?
Do you just make 2 separate, complete game installs? Or do you need to make some adjustments to one of them?
Thanks for any info you can give.
Here's how I did it Joth, with 2 VR accounts (early donator got 2 keys)
Created VR main account. created 2 Pantheon accounts under that main account since the 2 keys are mine. Steps below:
1) Created new Pantheon account in my main account. used my primary email address. picked my primary screen name (login ID). used first key on this account.
2) Created second Pantheon account in the same place. used same email to CREATE the account (this is important for the key to work). Used different screen name (login ID). Used second key on this account. Once this secondary account was created, went into this account (gear icon on upper left of account), changed email address to my secondary email.
This was the process given to me by customer support and verified it works on my 2 accounts.
In order to open both, just log into your primary, log into a character. Then restart Pantheon launcher (it closes when you log into primary), and log in using your credential for the second account. Keep in mind that the login screen and the launcher are both now logged in under your secondary account, so any changed you make will affect the secondary only. you'd have to log out of your primary and back in as your primary to make changes that affect that account. The last account you logged in under is THE account the client is recognizing and any changes only affect that one.
Not sure how having a steam account affects that since both mine are VR based. if your using one steam and one VR, then you would only need to follow step 1 above.
In relation to starting 2 clients, I would assume that if Steam uses the Pantheon launcher, you can just set up a shortcut to the launcher itself and log in with your VR account there. If steam goes directly starts the game client I'd suggest downloading the installer from the Pantheon site, and installing it manually in a different directory so you can make sure one doesn't conflict with the other.
Thanks a bunch, temjiu!
I also donated years ago, and still have my buddy key from that pledge that will be the 2nd account. I dual logged on one comp MANY years ago in Asheron's Call, but not since then. I don't know the details about Steam's process, but fortunately won't need to.
Thanks for including the details about the 2nd account's email. Also, this last patch lets us have separate bag locations and macro lists for each characters, so the info about the way only the last account logged in will save changes is even more important to know. I've read the support forums enough to know that your info is dead on.
I'm an altaholic, currently with 8 chars that I'm playing. And a serious Crafter, with all the schools spread between my alts. My higher level chars are always getting loot/mats that I could use on a lower lvl char. When it's time to do 'housecleaning' or a serious session of Crafting, I can easily spend an hour or two hopping between chars to move stuff back and forth. So I've decided that it's worth my trouble to keep a couple of 'mules' outside the bank for times when I really need long periods of assistance.
I play on Stormona if you happen to be on that server, and can be reached on Discord almost any time I'm playing.
Thanks again.
Thanks all, I figured it out. 3 different Pantheon accts running max on one machine, 2 monitors and smooth as can be. 0 hiccups.
It's just too tempting to have a corpse summon, res and teleport on different accounts.
It took 1 Steam client, 2 VR clients, btw.
Thanks again!
