Wandering around in the dark as an Ogre trying to find crafters and a f'ing way out. I get that you don't want maps but at least some indicators of where major areas are, been wandering around the ogre caves by flickering torchlight trying to find the crafters area and a way of gloomy caves for 45m. Same of shaman Elf, started in some far-off area from the main city, have no idea where it is, may have to die just to get back there when I spawn. (Also I love Pantheon, this game is exactly what I was hoping for aforementioned issues aside).
So far one of my biggest gripes has been the level design of the elf starting area. So it saddens me that this sounds like the case in other starting areas as well.
The layout doesn't really make any sense and nothing really seems to naturally guide you to near where you need to be. If a town doesn't have signs, there needs to be indicators of the activity of things that happen in a certain area. There are other things too, you'd think that if there were lots of people living together they would build bridges over rivers and streams. Have identifiable paths, light sources, etc. At least in the immediate vicinity of the lift. *Edit a few day s later they added some of these things. Really cool.
I'm holding out hope to getting to bigger areas. But the starting area isn't great for me so far.
