The following policy, while not all inclusive, shall establish the spirit and overall structure of player naming permissions in Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen, including, but not limited to, character, guild, pet, and any other entities, or systems that may be added to the game that allow player modification. The Naming Policy will always be aligned with our core belief that Community Matters and will guide the final decision-making process, which will be at the sole discretion of Visionary Realms and its agents.
As Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is largely a work incorporating the high fantasy genre, names should attempt to align to spirit of the game. Be advised that the following types of names will not be allowed:
Character names found to be in violation of this policy will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis with the following potential actions as consequences:
Pantheon does use a naming filter to stop many bad words as being part of character names and guild names. Intentional circumventing of the name filter will result in character or guild deletion.
In addition, using character names or guild names to grief, harass or intentionally cause a disruption to players or the community will also face deletion, suspension and potential ban from Pantheon.
Community matters and we understand that our naming policy shouldn’t be a punitive one that prevents people from using monikers that they have potentially been known by for many years, however we must ensure that all players feel welcome and that the overall spirit of the game world is upheld. If your character name isn’t a direct violation of the rules but doesn’t quite fit the high fantasy theme, don’t fret! Put on your plus to Int gear and find a way to make it fit, perhaps with creative spelling, an interesting backstory or a slight tweak.
