The comment Joppa made about all necro pets going to be some form of a skeleton is horrible in my opinion. Your pet should get more powerful as you level and should also look more badass while increasing in strength. Joppa you should seriously reconsider this. If you insist on a skeleton variation, please take EQOA as an example to do something similar, going from normal skeleton to larger bigger skeleton, to skeleton with rotting flesh, to apparition skeletons that float to a floating reaper skeleton, to a floating mass of bones swarming around, to essentially a red mass of deathly gas.

I just be happy to see the pet get some kind of taunt. His agro is absurdly bad. At 9th level using 9th level pet, vs. a light blue or green, best I can get away with is sprinkling damage with the free nausea dot and the "snare". What is that 10% move reduction?
Sicken, life tap or drain a stat are all snap agro. God forbid I'm dumb enough to pull the mob or upset them by walking too close, I can forget about the skele ever getting agro. The 5 second fear isn't really kiting with the afore-mentioned "snare", assuming its not resisted before its 1 min cooldown.
Then its off to the races with life tap before my level capped paper mache armor is eviscerated by a rusty dagger or some such. It feels like the necro dev meeting discussion went, "hey remember how cool and OP EQ necros were? Well, not on my watch!"
Ok rant over. Seriously is the pet supposed to be that lackluster?
I've played most classes so far to around level 6 and the necro has been one of the worst experiences. I loved my EQ1 necro. He was a great solo/survivable class. I seem to take more damage than other casters because the time to kill is about as bad as the cleric. I wish I was exagerating. Seems to do really bad dame for a lot of mana, so I have to sit more than any other caster. This has got to be a joke. The summoner is at least 3x better so far. Can one shot mobs with a spell. On even con, 2 shot. Necro takes a lot more.
You forgot to mention pet is also very squishy and useless.
Totally broken class, except for the mez. Our only utility in a group !the only spell wich are not resisted most of the time.
the snare curse is a joke.
Have to sit most of the time, even with veil of undead, mana regen is ridiculous.
Loved my EQ1 necro, will stop playing this one at 18.
with as bad as this class is at present -- and with no pet abilities listed anywhere -- are there ? am I just missing them ?
I will NOT be playing this class after the wipe in December --- and NO taunt yet at lvl 9 pet / lvl 10 Necro --- that's where I'll leave it ....
i love eq1 and eq2, that said my experience with necromancer is from those two games.
i tried pantheons necromancer recently.
We get no FD or Rez even though we are masters of death (strange)
those two class defining abilities off the table kind of breaks the class for me. (but that's just me)
The gameplay loop was like, cast siphon stat spells that suck so bad but i cast them cause i don't have much for abilities, a couple dots and send in a weak pet.

same loop from level 1-40.... necro complete garbage....
