Char wipes, low play time before wipe, proposal

    Hello,

    I have a proposal :

I was wondering feasability of a char wipe and a reload of level only of a character name / level right after.

create / save char name / class and if you recreate on your account - can resurrect with the only real number changed in the data base is your exp gained / level.

No money, no items, no spells, no skills, BUT at least you have the levels which takes DAYS to WEEKS to obtain for most of us for even level 15.

We all saw the huge population play decline just before the last wipe. After the first EA Wipe, you will definitely see a huge playerbase drop

Playing to level 15 AGAIN with the same class for the 3rd time in a year is past the point of not being fun. Having the char wiped again in December even less so.

Yes, i have played 5 other classes to 10+, and i am thinking for testing i should have been able to get those names / classes resurrected.

I understand wipes are needed to reset many things to re-test.....but if it's just a character level ... skills and such gain so fast, and just being higher level can get you some money fast so saying "oh at 15 you can't kill anything with no skills" - yes you can, start killing level 4-5 mobs at 15 and within 2-3 hours you can be reasonably functional, and it's WAY less than the 60+ hours it took and allows VR to reset to avoid bugs and keeps player enjoyment a bit more maxed.

As we've seen in past videos, VR can easily just create a char at a given level, with approximately the right levels of stats and skills for that level. We regularly see GMs in game at lvl 50, for example.

VR has said in the past that if they need players to test at a given higher level, they would just put an NPC in the game that anyone could go to for a token that when used would automatically level them to the selected level.

IMO you might get more traction on asking for EA to include something along those lines than asking for limited coding resources to be spent on creating a function that probably does not exist currently.
