Did Champions lose their 3rd week of testing?

Gotta say, I really want to see Pantheon succeed, but that didn't feel too good. I pledged the 250 when they upgraded Champion from 2 to 3 weeks testing. Then before my 1st day of access, they drop the price to 200. (/shrug oh well) Now their taking the 3rd week back?
From a customer service standpoint, I would have done that differently.

Why did Champions lose their 3rd week of testing? The only reason I saw is that VR said they don’t have the available resources to support the extra week for Champions. What does that mean? Thoughts? [there may be other reasons given on discord. I don’t hang in discord. I go to discord to get news updates and to have voice comms when gaming]
It’s stuff like this that makes me very, very nervous about the negative impact of EA in December. What is so bad now that Champions lose a third week, but everything is fine with the flood gates opening in December. Maybe I’m missing something obvious that makes perfect sense to someone else. Go easy on me, but let me know so I can stop having so much concern about EA being too soon.
I have not heard any 'official' discussion about this issue. This is just my personal opinion based on some facts that are common knowledge to anyone following the game.
VR does not own servers, they rent the use of servers in the 'Cloud'. I'm not educated on doing that, but I understand there are various charges associated with that. Charges based on how many people access those servers, how much time spent accessing them, the process of patching and updating the Game engine on those servers, etc. My guess is that there are more Champions than VIPs, based on how many servers need to be up when they are in game, vs. the number needed when only VIPs are playing.
When EA was announced, VR said they were 'pausing' some employee contracts to save resources (money) for the push to get EA finished and up & running. That may mean they will have extra ongoing expenses while they build EA, or it might mean that they just needed to save up for the increased cost when they open EA. Or it may mean both.
Regardless of which it is, IMO the 'big difference' between giving them an extra week for the next couple Seasons vs. letting everybody in come Dec is just the budget.
You know what Jothany, I read the first paragraph of your post and I’m speechless. Your posts are often very rude and insulting to people and this one is no exception. Why you have a need to spread hate and anger, I have no clue, but you are certainly not an asset for this community.
Imagine how much nicer your post would have been if you omitted: “I have not heard any 'official' discussion about this issue. This is just my personal opinion based on some facts that are common knowledge to anyone following the game.” But no, you had to through an insult at me. Thanks.

I am sorry you are so upset, but I have no clue why. You seem to have found some insult where none was intended or said (as far as I can discern). The accusation of hate and anger leaves me speechless. You have been very helpful on the forums recently, I have no animosity towards you at all. I got into some arguments with various forum members years ago when I first joined, I don't really remember with who all. If I was rude back then, I apologize. I was just offering my opinion here.
As for my opening paragraph, I have to be careful - as all the Mods do - that readers don't take my personal opinion for an official statement by VR. It has happened more than once. That's all that was meant by it. Maybe if you tell me what I did, it will make more sense to me.
I understand how you may want to disclaim that it is not an official opinion, especially if you’ve had issues in the past. However, the last part of that statement was insulting. You could have said, "I have not heard any official discussion about this issue. This is just my opinion based on my knowledge."
I do follow the game, so for you to say it’s common knowledge to anyone following the game is insulting. You are basically implying I'm a moron. Just because it’s obvious or common knowledge to you, since we have different experiences and understandings, it may not be obvious or common to me. I would, and I'm sure the community would as well, appreciate it if you are more mindful with your words, especially since you are a "mod".
Again, I'm sorry you feel that way. But you are stretching my words really hard to find an insult in them. I did NOT say "Everyone knows this". I used the term "common knowledge". If one looks up a handful of definitions for that term, one will find that it can mean "knowledge everyone knows" or "knowledge that MOST people know" OR "knowledge that is readily available to anyone who looks for it". That last one is the meaning I've most encountered and the one I mean when I use it.
Had you asked, I would have explained my meaning. Had you said "that seems kinda insulting" I might have considered it and maybe changed the term a bit. But starting with insults like "you have a need to spread hate and anger", "very rude and insulting", "certainly not an asset for this community" in a response that supposedly aims to get ME to be "more mindful with my words" is strikingly contradictory and counterproductive.
EA is designed to generate cash flow (I think). Until cash flow is improved game is getting by as best it can. I think after 10.5 years of development anything you get is good, but I wouldn't count on anything, things change too much and "promises" are broken.
p.s. I didn't see an insult. The day and age we live in requires too much parsing of words for my taste...
I agree with Chimerical I don't see where Jothany was insulting, as a matter of fact he took time out of his day to give you a thought-out response and for his effort, you insulted him for no reason. IMO you owe him an apology. People need to get some thicker skin and stop complaining just to complain!
"You are basically implying I'm a moron." That is quite the stretch based on the text of the posts you are referring to. Could he have used a different wording? Sure. Was he insulting? Not at all. You read it like that because that's what you wanted to see. I would say your username checks out, but I happened to see you are posting with positive energy elsewhere on the forums.
Personally, I didn't have any concerns about your post, Jothany and not insulting in the slightest. Your post was an interesting insight to an area I had not considered beforehand.
If this is one of the reasons for reduced access to the game, then fair enough. However it is yet another decision that has minimal official reasons. We are adults, VR, why not give us the full reasoning behind these customer affecting changes? You might find more acceptance that way.
