Surely if I play a mage class it will be SMN.
I love the ambivalency of different pets offering different roles to the class itself. I just hope the gameplay revolves more about buffing / synergizing with your pet rather than sitting and doing poor nukes every other then, because if the pet is truly (as a DPS) 80% of your damage, there is a risk their spells are not tuned to be significant.
Let's hope that isn't the case. We are a dps class and our pets are the bulk of our damage.
SMN? suck my nipples?
You should probably consider all classes about 25% complete at this point. Classes have a good solid skeleton, some more than others, but there is a lot more to be implemented and tweaked before release.
There are sure to be new spells and new balances between spells and pets.
Enjoy the ride!
I dont know if its me or if the human NPCs were buffed but a blue con Thug destroys the pet in seconds at level 6. I am also disappointed that I cannot arm my pet with the spare weapons I pick up. It seems weird to include inventory slots when you cannot equip anything on the pet.
Now, if that's a feature for later on, then give us a message or something telling us in-game. (Your pet cannot wield this item until "level *").
Also, are there off-hands for casters in the game? What about foci? Pet Foci would be really cool, either craftable or lootable to increase you pet's stats/performance.
I find my shaman is better at soloing than my Summoner hands down.

@Zevuus I don't believe so, at least I have not found one, sadly. Althoug you can turn off the "Grapple" ability on the Titan to make it agro less.
I asked Joppa on the stream from 2024-09-30 and he did confirm that armor will be visible and as Summoners level, the armor will change as will the pet size (somewhat).
For those interested, the timestamp is around 01:11:00 into the stream.
So good news!
