The actual algorithms for Crafting skill are not fully implemented yet so having adventuring level be the limiting factor is just a stopgap measure until they are.
Once that process gets finished - "within a few months" is the last we heard from the Crafting Dev - then adventure level will no longer affect Crafting. You'll be able to level as far as you wish on a level 1 character.
Not to ignore the fact that it is intended for some aspects of high level Crafting to require a Crafter to travel to many places in the world, some of which will be extremely difficult, dangerous and potentially impossible to enter if they are still at newbie adventure levels.
not sure I have any suggestions that have not already been said but some bulk would be good
Jaetonik said: Personally, I think we should keep full bulk out of the picture. The pace of the game is meant to be slower. It’s not a race to see how many items we can craft.
I would like to see very little if anything at all that can be done afk. This ruins most games. Obviously this is my opinion.
I agree with this. The more "assembly line-like" tools used to help craft afk, the more crafting becomes a chore. This can disconnect crafting from the whole Pantheon experience and theoretically eliminate game content as a whole. I also hope there are no NPC Hirelings to fetch materials like some other games. The bundle crafting materials (5 at a time), seems like a good compromise.
