Day/ Night cycle

    I think 2-3 hours for the cycle to change is great - gives enough time for you to immerse yourself in the cycle especially given the much longer combat time expected with the game. Completely agree with all the suggested changes to zones between the two discussed above.

    If you went 2.5 hours it doesn't neatly divide into 24 and so would lead to different timing each day giving people who can only play set times a differing experience.

    So after some thought and listen to the rewind as well I was reading all this stuff. I think that a 2hr 30 min day and a 1hr 40 min night would be spot on as this would rotate the day night cycle so they won't land at the same time. This also makes so that mobs spawn let's say at night and maybe they're on a three or four day( real day ) spawn cycle or even if they spawn only in the day it would mean that it would really randomize more when they could spawn especially if they had a varied time so 7 days give or take 8 hours and then if they can only spawn in a day or night cycle time this would really make it tough for some but also give people more of a chance.

    Agree on the90 minute cycle.

    Stores/buildings should be open at night or it turns into a chore waiting.

    Binary star system with one moon for the tides.

    As others have stated, you don't want the cycle math to work out to an even 24 hours, this would mean that the same time in real world time would be day/night, which could affect the time epopel choose to log in. 

     

    If I knew that if I logged in at 6pm ET, that it would always be dark until 7pm ET, I would probably just wait until 7pm, and avoid the hassles of the darkness.
