Got an 8 year old Gamin Laptop. I am pretty sure, that I will need a new PC when Pantheon comes out ;) Or do you think, my old gaming pillow can handle Pantheon? :P
Cool thing is, that is has two SSDs, so booting is pretty fast. Bad thing is that the space is very limited.

I remember Brad playing Pantheon on an older laptop, 8 years may be a stretch but you never know! :)

We can find out, just add me to pre-alpha testing :D I'd be happy to find out!

Pretty old, I built my desktop myself about 7 years ago. It was pretty nice when I built it so I'll see if I can just upgrade to meet what I need. My laptop is a lost cause and I'm waiting to replace it until closer to launch. I'll probably buy a pretty decent one once I know a launch date.
I would have to name my rig Theseus, because it's gone through several iterations over the years, but I think I've finally settled on a "final" build from the one that started ~5 years ago. At that time I hadn't had a system for a while because I was too busy for gaming, so I started fresh in 2018 with an SFF system built around a Ryzen 5 2400G. Eventually I upgraded that to a Ryzen 7 2700 in a full size ATX case, but then I got curious how much power I could fit into a small form factor PC, so my system around the end/beginning of 2020/2021 looked like this:
It was fun having that much power in a rig I could fit in my backpack, but I had to do a lot of undervolting on the CPU and GPU to keep it running cool and quiet. So I gave up on the idea of a ridiculous SFF build and replaced the case, motherboard, and power supply to go back to full ATX. This is it today, and probably what I will be sticking with for the next few years at least:
I was lucky enough to get the GPU before prices went insane, so it cost quite a bit less than what some less powerful cards are selling for today. The only upgrade I'm looking at now is maybe a 4K 120Hz/144Hz monitor.
And I mostly use it to play Diablo II.

I built my current gaming rig in 2017. I will use it until we get close to release, then I will build a new one. When I built it, just the system, not including monitors and keyboard, it was about $2,600, so it's still a fairly respectable water-cooled system.
I have two, one for me and one for my partner. Mine was put together by me and is a bit older with the following:
AMD Ryzen 5 1600 6 Core 3.20 GHz
NVidia GeForce GTX 1060
16GB RAM
I haven't done any hardcore MMO gaming on this system, so I plan to make a few upgrades before Pantheon is a reality.
But for our second computer (my girlfriend and I are longtime gaming partners) she has the Alienware Aurora R12
Hmm not sure how old my computer is. Guessing parts might be 4 years old maybe older. I keep upgrading this one so it gets confusing. I build all my computers but I am considering not building the next one as long as I can find a company that lets me pick all the parts.
I have considered a few times recently to upgrade but keep putting it off. I do not plan on getting a new computer for Pantheon as I figure what ever I have will be more than enough.
IMO:
The current reality, in my experience for the past few years and currently, is that any Vulkan 1.1 compatible GPU plays >90% of the games anyone I know wants to play.
As a result, I'm sure as Brell not going to be spending $2k+ on a video card because of [ terrible reasons possibly related to cryptocurrency mining ] .
However, I will say that NVMe 7GBytes/sec via PCIe 4.0 is glorious on the new Intel 500 series chipsets. :)
I never thouht I'd see the day when persistent storage was faster than (moderately older) RAM.
the one I have was a gift, from like 6-7 years ago. Mom had a discount at Dell because she worked in a university so she went ahead... Normally ive built my own, I had a nice XP machine that pasted a long time that i built and upgraded video cards along the way and when I talked about putting together another my mom tried to be sneaky and assumed..I couldn't really say no.
I still use my old XP on my big screen TV, I wanted to hook up the VGA to the input but the guy I had help who eventually got crack addicted and then came out of it and doesnt do it anymore insisted at the time that I use the HDMI but now sound always buzzes when I use the PC and I have the sound hooke dup to a nice old analog stero component system that I wanted to hook up too, but he was like no neighbors will be irritated if your TV is too loud and I was like no I dont have neighbors- smh. He's fine now, but useless to me.
Thing is, when you start talking to people that are current or you think are current after so many years and asking you get so many different answers. I want to start with the best and then make my own decions working down, piece by piece but have a core that I can expand upon or at least items that will be if not top of the line at least servicable for the next 3-4 years.
But when you talk to these people it boils down to them asking- well," what do you want it for?" and then I get an answer like "well, this will be fine for what you need" or, "all you really need is this" and it seems like they are reccomending the lesser thing. I woud like ot know the top of the line item and then have someone advise me of things lower down the line. I can read specs, I know if something less expensive has the same as the most expensive thing on one area but less on another, and its that difference that I want to know is crucial or not. And somethings I will spend money on, like a video card and mother board- Im not so hyped on processors but a last gen will do fine I think, hard drive doesnt have to be so huge, I dont do alot with video and speed, I can sacrifice a bit on hard drive speed but if there is latest technolody ill go for that and less space for monetary concerns.
Tl,dr I have a 6-7 tr old Dell Pre-fab. I want to make my own likeI used to.
I bought mine. Not because I couldn't build one, more because I couldn't be bothered. I'm sure I could save a little by building one, but it seems to me that the only way to really save is to be hawkish about deals online which requires frequent and consistent checking. I didn't really have the patience for that.
AMD Ryzen 7 5800 8-Core 3.4GHz
16GB DDR4 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 w/ 8GB memory
512GB NVMe SSD
1TB SCSI HDD
Built it in 2011 with SWtoR and Skyrim as the intended build level.
AMD CPU/GPU setup, all out of date now.
Have been looking at building a new rig but prices are so stupid right now. last build was about $800 and a new one would be about 2k.
Or I can buy an prebuild sytem for about 1.5k, what an odd world we live in...

I built mine in 2017 when the expectation was that this game was going to release in 2018. In hindsight, I should have waited until the game was actually released before building the system because now I'll need to build another one before this game comes out in 2024. Nvidia should be releasing the GTX 6080Ti by then.
Luckily I built this system in the Thermaltake Tower 900 case no need to replace that thing...ever.
My system has a dual cooling loop another for CPU/MB each going through their own 360x120x36mm full copper radiator. Under full load temps top out for both loops at 84F (28C).

I'm learning how to bend rigid piping so I can replace the flexible tubing with rigid. Once all my 2nd degree burns heal I'll work on it some more.
That is my set up :)
Nice! I'm loving the varying systems and ages :)

Similar to Vandraad, I upgraded PC's with the expectation that I'd need it to play Pantheon hehe...so impatient we are ;)
My previous PC was home built, but about 12 years old. It was still able to play games (LoL, Star Citizen, etc) but I knew I wanted something better for Pantheon!
I had always built PC's myself, but I found a good deal on a pre-made that had all the specs I wanted, it was a bout $400 less to buy it pre-built.
Processor AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Eight-Core Processor, 3200 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 48.0 GB
M2 Drive 1TB
SSD 1TB
SSD 1TB (will I ever use this much space? No haha, but I also didn't want to just throw away my old SSD's)
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER 8GB RAM
I turned off all the silly RGB stuff in the tower
I'm not unhappy with the new system, it can play anything I've got on full graphics so I know it'll be great whenever Pantheon does come out.
