Isonis and Crowdancer again. This will be the chapter seven graphic.

Isonis is using the Ranger ability Brightfire Sap to make the sword a light source

The shadow on Isonis' face looks spooky cool.

And the tiny point of reflected light in their eyes is a subtle but really nice effect.

The bridge of Isonis' nose goes up too high - unless I just haven't met enough Elves yet :)

I agree with you :) I might go back and work on his nose a bit more

EDIT: his nose is more elf-sized now

The prophet Semina, one of the Ginto Remnant. He will appear in Chapter Ten.

The symbol of the paired keys represents the Infinite Union that was regrettably finite.

His face and hair look like very much like a Prophet to me, and the garments are really good. I'd actually buy something like that to wear (though I'm no prophet).

But... the 4 upright things on his head, I have difficulty not perceiving them as antennae. I think a big part of it is that they are in pairs, like most insect antennae. Which makes me see him as humorous, which isn't what I'd expect in a Prophet. It creates a mental conflict for me. (If you were going for that, then great job)

I think the look would be very different if there were a different number of them, possibly 5 spaced evenly around with 1 in the center of his forehead. Or maybe just several more. I don't know, I'm not visually creative. That's just how the image first struck me, and still does on later views.

I wondered if they would be perceived that way. I was looking at images of actual shamans in Mongolia and Korea, and feathers or other ornaments sticking up from the head are common. Elements of the costume are from the region.

I decided to try something that looked like chips of shaved pearl or crystal as head ornaments, but I couldn't decide on their placement. I guess I just need to do it in a way that they are totally not antennae

Also I need to finish his eyebrows which I totally forgot

I think the uniform, smooth oval shape of the stones adds a lot to the 'antenna' perception for me. If the stones on top had more detail, I think that would make a big difference in defining them as ornaments. If I could see facets on the stone and/or the structure of some kind of setting that held it in place. Maybe gold or silver wire wrapped around it, as is often used in simpler, more primitively made necklaces to hold larger stones.

I've altered his fancy headgear and finished his eyebrows.

I tried a full wrapping of copper but it was too much, so I went with silver threaded lightly through it.

Beautiful. Just that bit of silver setting makes it clear that those are precious stones on his headpiece now.

I wasn't happy with my first try of a scene from "Hunting in Ember". I did like the more dreamlike scene for the most part, but the tower was really sloppy.

So I've redone the tower now, and I like it better.

A scene from Chapter Nine of "In the Sway of Storms"

This painting tested everything and pushed me way beyond my comfort zone. Perspective, shadows, hands... and yes, I know the lattice work is messy, but it's as good as I could get at this point :)

I learned a lot doing this one.

I'm still working on this one. I wanted a new painting of Crowsinger. She's been in several of my stories and will be my main.

This time I went closer to the armor in the official druid painting at https://www.pantheonmmo.com/game/classes/druid/

I don't think this is quite finished, but with Chapter 11 on the way I've been working really hard on it.

    Kymeret, Slumber, and Yonai

The spell "Bladed Missiles" was in a list of unconfirmed Summoner spells. I don't know if it will be in the game, but it sounded too cool not to give it to Kymeret.

Edit: I did some more work on this image, so this is a new version

I like your happy little trees in your new Crowsinger piece.  Bob Ross would be so proud of you :)  Also, your skies are looking great!  This last one with Slumber's battle scene is really good.  It's not easy to make cloud wisps without drawing attention to them.  These stay in the background nicely but still add to the feel.  Great job.

True confession: Though I repainted the character, I used part of the same background from the original Crowsinger painting. Just copied the layer, pasted, moved it around. Sometimes my focus is on the character and I'm thinking eh, the old background worked for her :)

Apparently I found a brush that does nice little cloud wisps among my brushes, but now I have no memory of which brush it was :( I really should take notes

Edit: I'm pretty sure for the darker long clouds in upper right I just used an airbrush on a different layer

Looking good! Here I am sucking at painting minis for DnD and you're making these art pieces. I love the realism in Avaresk's face, and that background is magical.

Thanks! I can't take credit for the pretty gradient part of the background. I was planning on doing a simple gradient of two colors behind the clouds, but I selected the wrong gradient from the menu (lol). In Krita beta 2 this one is called "GPS Fire Blueish" and I loved it better than what I was planning.

Edit: The lines in the gradient seem to be an artifact from saving to jpg; they're not there in the original. But imgur doesn't like when I upload pngs.

This is a scene for Chapter 15, which exists completely in my head at the moment.
