Some one that needs the Kill. A lower geared Dps anybody in guild that wants to join if we got the fight why not toss in some one that needs some help. Why do we have 2 healers are they under geared, is one under geared and needs the kill? Is the tank under geared? healers are always so rare just want to know why we have 2 in one group are these the only 5 on in guild? why are we killing the boss is it for a drop orr quest flag could change who I invite.
As some one that spent alot of time working with other officers to get guild groups set up to get people quest flags / drops gear camps/ levels /AAs these are the ? that run in my head when I see this.
There is so much missing from this Scenario to make a choice what classes what utility do we have with these classes.
If victory is assured and I know someone that needs the encounter - definitely what Vixx says.
If it is simply a matter of how to win the fight - definitely what Mordecai says.
If there isn't a plethora of people looking to join and able to get there quickly - definitely what Shea says.
Commital, aren't I?
Me , Ruz, Cyl, Jeyna (*dance*), and mendath, although he got wierd after a while, one time when I mentioned smiley faced spiders in hawaii and he said his brother was from hawaii and never saw them - as if somehow after all this time he was gaslighted as to my integrity somehow by an outside person- I suspected it was loklan but i'm not sure. Loklan always seemed.... he was the 6th and then at times then he would get another before I came on and block me out- or so it seemed coincidentally. But there are spiders in hawaii that have smiley faces on their backs- and they are yellow, too. Look it up!
Anyways
Invite anyone~! who cares if they are 20 levels lower, we did. We were so tight we could show off at times. We ended up getting a reputation, a good one. We might have been interested in guilds but spam invites were not our thing, we would have liked to group with a number of members of one guild and then spin off like 2 or 3 and then regroup and share notes. we called ourselves Gy....im saving that for pantheon, might be a cool guild name. Had our own chat channel.
But yeah, anyone, if they looked lonely we would say Come with us!, Sometimes we would get tells from others we know had good reps or from uber guilds that pleaded to get out of their PuG's and join us because it wasn't working out for them at the moment.
The icing on the cake? is after we get used to each others styles and the new person learns there is no such thing as a bad pull with us- when they say: "can I try something...?" or "i've always wanted to see what this does" That's awesome.
This is really hard to answer because the terms beast Dps and capable CC are broad terms to the point that almost any class probably fill that last spot.
Personally given this general scenario I would fill the last spot with a DPS/utility class just to balance out the general roles, but in-game it would really depend on the specific group comp, the location/mob type we were fighting, and group output/class balance.
Clearly most the optimal answer for efficiency is another DPS. However, my answer is, who cares? Let anyone that wants to join, join.
Once you have a 1 tank, 1 healer and 1 dps, fill the other roles with anything. Let’s not forget that everyone can inflict damage to some degree. Even with 2 healers, 1 of them might find they don’t need to back up heal and they end up attacking. We need to stop having the mindset that we can only engage a boss with a perfect group. It alienates to many other players and it discourages group play. Which is what most MMOs are lacking today. If we fail, we fail. Try again later.

Since it's not defined what the CC is (could be a bard). Also does the encounter consist of a group of bosses or is it just the group that fights one boss?
Overall I would welcome anyone willing to join. If we're solid enough with 5, the 6th is welcome to add flavour and enjoyment to the group experience.
Community matters and so does the importance of getting new contacts in the game and supporting a good attitude towards people you don't know yet.
