Hi all,
I was wondering about what do I get in return if I pledge for pre-alpha access, since I can´t find any information other than in-game rewards and the like. What I want to know is the current status of the game and what VR expects from someone with pre-alpha access. Can I play as often as I want? Can I go wherever I want to go in the game? Can I level any class and any race up to high levels? Am I requested by VR to test particular things? Do I get specific channels NOT available for non pre-alpha platers where to provide constructive feedback? What chances are currently now in pre-alpha to group with other players?
My actual mindset is on waiting for alpha, but I think I miss a lot of info on how the pre-alpha experience is like, that maybe could prompt me o others to jump in earlier than planned.
If this topic is not in the correct forum, feel free to move it.
Thanks,
- Elia
Simple
1. No
2. No
3. Yes, but also no
4. Yes
5. Yes, on the forums
6. Wouldn't know
Detailed
1. You play in sessions, which they make available.
2. You can play the area they designate.
3. You can play all races and classes. There's no realistic way for you to hit "high levels".
4. Yes, you are asked to test the latest area they let you play in, find bugs, janky stuff and similar - that's why you're playing after all.
5. Yes, you get access to feedback forums exclusively for PA testers.
6. I mean, considering that the PA playerbase is limited to set amount of days, there's probably a decent chance to group with other players.
The bottom line is do not pledge pre-alpha if all you want is to be able to play the game. Pledge pre-alpha if you want to put real concerted effort into testing the things VR needs tested, or if you just want to give VR $1,000+ because you really believe in the project.

The VIP plesge levels on this page tell you wha tyou get in-game and out of game: https://www.pantheonmmo.com/pledge/
That said, the gameplay sessions are structured. Pre-Alpha, Alpha, and Beta, are true testing phases, not "early access". Most, if not all, of the sessions will be guided testing sessions well into beta. Yes, you will have access to a Pre-Alpha (VIP area) section in the forums to provide feedback.
Since this isn't "early access", levelling up your characters to "high level" and "finding groups" is sort of a moot point, as grouping and levelling will be done based on testing needs. In any event, characters will be wiped when it comes time to go live after testing. You won't, for instance, have a kitted out high level character when "real gameplay" starts.
Thanks all for the replies. I wasn´t thinking of the PA as an "early access", but was hoping it would be both providing useful testing info to VR but also to play the game in a limited way. I suppose this can still be done through next alpha and beta phases, when they are announced and released.
