Will there be anny other options to obtaining a Terminus Cloth Map?  I would really like one, but cannot afford the VIP Pledges right now.

Probably not until sometime after launch. Merchandising isn't the easiest endeavor until you have a steady stream of income and the main product is successful. I'd like to have a map too. Just don't expect something like that to be available for a while.

A piece of cloth, some markers and a bit of artistic skill and you've got yourself a Terminus Cloth Map.

Apart from other considerations a Terminus cloth map would be more of a memento if it accurately reflected Terminus as of the launch. VR may not want to lock themselves into having no geographic changes until they actually do launch - at which point a map could be finalized and duplicated for sale.

Maybe I should get some canvas and pigments and recreate the Hay Wain or a Yintion J piece or two if its that easy then!

I'm of the opinion that cosmetic or out-of-game pledge rewards should never be available any other way. There is no way of doing it without taking away some value from the person who pledged. And I agree, that map is a little too rich for my blood.

There was talk about making some of the pledge items à la Mode later, if they did I would pay the cost to add on the map if it was available.

Just moved to a new place and I have office walls to fill up.

The cloth map would mean a lot to me.  I have the Vanguard Saga of Heroes cloth map and I am going to frame it sometime next year.

Maybe they could make a collecters edition later where it would be available.  This is how I got the Vanguard Sage of Heroes cloth map.

$160 for a screen printing kit, $20 for materials, an old t-shirt, and some free time spent getting the technique right, and you could have your own cloth map. Even make some for your friends.

I agree with both of these statements and think that is exactly the way they should do it. I'm stupid, I'd pay up to $50 for a cheap cloth map if it was an option.

Look at the people who paid for that duffle bag from bethesda for FO76....

I'd rather have an in game digital representation of a cloth map that my character could complete as they go along on their travels. Not much to ask they have a modicum of artistic skill.

    *runs and hides*

    but seriosuly, I would.

I still have my Ultima Online cloth map.  I'd like an option to get a Pantheon one.  Willing to pay up.

Hello. Would like to see option to buy it seperatly later down the road, then to see it on ebay for x amount of money. Still have my old EQ & Vanguard phyiscal maps, and from other games as well (that came with the physical boxset at the time lol) Not digital downloads (though dont mind the digital download if its for updates/patching lol). Always like the old ways of getting extras in the boxset, collectors editon or equivalent.

this has its advantages... (digital certificates?)
I lost all my EQ (1and2) books and atlas stuff, when a fire raged through a storage unit site, incinerating 20 years of collected physical game boxes and related stuff
(good insurance, but was quite a culture shock)

Hello. Also i wouldnt mind paying for S&H for a physical copy of the cloth map. And it better be a nice cloth...good quality too. Dont want it to dissovle if water gets spilled on it or burns up when the sunlight shines on it.

I still have an old Norrath-Velious cloth map from Everquest. It's honestly pretty neat/nostalgic just to look at, so I really do hope we get cloth maps once the map gets finished.

I imagine VR will end up doing it though-cloth maps are just one of those nerd things.
