UI stuff: How do you use your mouse when you play MMORPGs?

I use the mouse for camera look and steering with WASD for forward/boardward and stafing. Most of the time I use tab targeting, but on occation I will click a target in certain situations.

I will use a mouse to interact with some UI elements (inventory, char sheet, quest dialogs, etc). Action bars though I always use the keyboard. I like where I can setup multiple hot bars, but will only ever show one and use the keyboard to switch between them. Have never clicked on an action bar with a mouse.

@Kilsin can you explain what "This thread has been promoted as part of my CM content" means exactly?

Always have right mouse button down and use wasd. Sometimes use left and right to drive when bores

I've had wrist pain when using computers my entire life, so mouse / keyboard use is very important to me. I wear IMAK RSI SmartGloves and they work amazingly well (give them a try if you have wrist pain).

I use the mouse for mouselook with WASD as well as for a few key binds. I bind /follow and /face as well as a couple others to the mouse buttons. I had a Logitech MMO mouse for a while, but it was a bit too much work for my thumb, so I switched to more of a FPS style mouse. I do almost everything else with the keyboard and I often have a very elaborate set of custom binds.

As little as possible. I prefer to map all controls to the keyboard. So please VR, pretty please, make sure that ALL control inputs for the game are listed in the settings and can be mapped to a keyboard command.

Mouse look and I use the two mouse buttons to move forward (standard hold both down to walk).

I have a left hand keypad setup with profiles for each game that everything else is mapped to.

I map everything I can to the keyboard and avoid using my mouse unless absolutely necessary.

in relaxed mode when playing a game where it is an option i prefer using left and right buttons together to auto run and steer and click on targets for actions. When I used to raid used wasd for fine movement control and hockey's for spells and abilities or mouse click on hotbars.

Keyboard for most things (keybind) wasd-movment (holding right click for strafing, turning) q, e, r ,t and shift plus those for my main 8 abilities. 123456 for CDs or semi used abilities, and mouse middle, 4, 5, for quick action or dispell abilities and shift plus those for mounts or rarly used skill and such. If I need more than that they are placed in a spot for easy click access (if able)

I have a fairly standard mouse and the only thing that makes it unique is the fact that it is a trackball and has a scroll wheel. I typically use it for movement/navigation, camera zoom, and initial targeting. If I am healing then I also use it to facilitate scroll over macros (which are literally the best way to heal, especially if you have a bunch of instant cast spells). I rarely use my mouse to activate abilities but if/when I do it depends on the innate GCD time and usually it's only long burst cooldowns or trinkets that I activate in this way.

I use the keys for 1 thru 4 abilities, tab targeting, sprints/crouches. I click for 5 thro 0, usually where i put the long cooldowns or utilies. I use Q/E for blocks and interupts.

I like to use my mouse to look about whether it is first or third person.

I like to click on enemies, and right click them to learn more about them.

I like to click around in my spellbook/inventory.

I don't really like clicking abilities save it be ones I won't use often, like buffs.
