I love that you got the new forums. Grats!
But, maybe it's just because I am colorblind, but not a fan of the color choices.

The green/yellow on the grey background is hard for me to read and jarring to the eyes.

But, in the end, it's an improvement.

Fantastic job on the site redesign and build.
I feel better sending others there to see what Pantheon is about.
    Congrats and really, thank you.

Color scheme doesn't seem a problem for me, but the font comes across a little blurry/fuzzy, hard to read.

Something else I just noticed, is that my own posts count as a new post in the icon that highlights when there are unread posts in a thread. I would think my own posts should not count toward that, it makes me think someone else replied while I was replying and I open and check, only to find no other new posts other than my own.

EDIT: hmm, didn't do it on this one.

    Of note:

    1) The Race pages do not list what Classes that Race can be.
The Class pages do list the Races that can be that class but they do not actually link to those Race pages.
The Race/Class Matrix used to be available on the Races page but now can only be found in the FAQ section.

We were also hinted that this Matrix might have been updated with some more choices for some classes (such as Dark Myr can be Clerics but not Paladins even though Paladins info page actually says: "Once a Cleric themselves, the Paladin has felt a call that transcends the rigid customs of the Cleric Order." Or are we to believe that Dark Myr Clerics don't have any problems with rigid customs?)

    2) Several of the FAQ pages just give links to the Pantheon Wiki site. This Wiki includes lots of things that are out dated.

For example the 'Living Codex' section talks about Prime Scrolls and Transcendant abilities, that as far as I can remember have not been spoken about other than on that Wiki. And it does not refer at all to the Mastery System we have been shown in recent videos.

The section on Death Penalty on the Wiki still refers to you needing to return to your corpse for your gear and doesn't include the current info about you retaining your gear but any bags or coin will remain on your corpse.

The Development Cycle section tells us: "We have announced that we will be inviting the very first group of players for PA1 (Pre-Alpha 1) in time for the Holiday 2017 season."

Perhaps we shouldn't be linking to a Wiki that doesn't give us accurate information.

    3) On the Innovations page of the FAQ there are links to 3 pages: The Pantheon Difference, Pantheon Features, and Pantheon Tenets. All 3 of these links go to a '404 page not found' page. Is this just a problem with the Linking or is this simply because those pages have not been completed?

    4) On the main FAQ page you have some questions shown multiple times under different categories. Some of these are exactly the same and even link to the same page (so maybe this is intended) but there are some that are basically the same question just worded differently, such as:

'Innovations: What's New and Different in Pantheon?' (under 'Introductory'; which I refer to in point 3) is basically the same question as 'Pantheon Differentiators: What Makes Pantheon Different?' (under 'Gameplay') which takes you to a page that just links you on to the Wiki (see point 2).

    5) The FAQ page for the question about Mounts also says: "Players will also be able to acquire items for their characters that allow them to climb vertical surfaces."

This gives players the sense that 'climbing' is not normal and will require extra items and not the way it has been recently represented as 'Everything is Climbable'. Also not sure why this is in the answer about Mounts, unless you are suggesting special Mounts that climb for you; Spider Mount maybe?

    6) On the Media page you seem to be linking to the various Video streams and Podcasts but are not linking to all of them (only the most recent ones). Are you intending to list all the video's on that Media page eventually? Should I keep updating the 'Stream Links' post here on the forums?

    7) The '404 page not found' page (mentioned in point 3) also says: "Please use the menus or the search box to find what you are looking for." but after looking around for a while there is no 'search box' nor any link to a search page.

These are not new forums. They just applied a different colour theme to make it match the new website colours.

Yeah, these are the same forums we've always had.  They're not new.  Just a different theme.

As for the site, I think it's looking pretty good.  I like the new structure of the FAQ though I have not taken time to try and compare it to the old one.  I do agree with Goofy about the wiki however.  The wiki has some very misleading information on it.

The site structure works better for "selling" the game - the trick now is to keep it updated, accurate, and fresh moving forward.

I find a lot of the text fuzzy and on the main page either the font is smaller or for some other reason I have trouble even reading to see what new topics there have been. The structure is good but that hardly matters if one has trouble reasing things.

Looks good! especially the intro pages. Nice place to show newbies to look around, the caveat that the screenshots are not artistic interpretations but actual screenshots is a nice kicker, plus the nice twist on concept development where you think its going to be concept art, but its actually technical diagrams of art and design actually in game.

I would like to see added agree and disagree toggles on forums (up/downvotes?), and maybe to clinch the #communitymattters aspect, have a form response pop-up once the downvote is clicked that asks questions like what you have here: what didn't you like about the subject of post? how would you improve it? what would you do instead? N/A to the form questions is acceptible as a response but an opinion must be submitted for the downvote in general text. Commentary on spelling or syntax is not allowed as the community is international. Personal attacks are not allowed. (see PvP forum pages coming soon... lol)

Same for agrees. (what would you add to the subject of the post? how did it get you thinking of gameplay?)  However the ability to just comment like normal and not agree/disagree is still there if there is maybe one thing out of three that the OP mentions that you want to get clarity or discuss further.

I notice the Archai on the new site look like the original art, which I prefer, instead of the more rock-like textures that I thought were the updated ones.

I see the spells/abilities are in.   It looks like a lot of thought has gone into that.  Will we ever get a more precise idea of the amount of mana used or the heals or damage done?  I can see points for going with, sure well give you more info, or nope we're going to keep it vague.

You are right about the Archai. Because the images you are looking at are the original images that were on the old page. Hopefully they they will updated to the new art before too long.

In a stream long ago, someone asked about the numbers you refer to. The Dev who answered told us that those numbers would continue to get tweaked throughout the testing process and could well still be open to change up to release. So while I certainly hope to see them when I log in on relase day, I wouldn't really count on seeing them before then.

    It looks great!

However, the join/upgrade_success page for pledges is a 404 error. I found this out when upgrading my pledge today :p

Not sure if this affects pledges actually being upgraded or not. I checked after I went thru paypal, and it hadn't upgraded my pledge in my account yet but I was expecting that not to be an instant change in info.

I really like the new logo. I really hated the orange font of the old one! On another note, you should consider putting background images taken from the screenshot / art section here and there, it'd make the whole website more... wholesome? The black background on every page is a bit sad.

Unless I’m just not seeing it (which is entirely possible), the FAQ no longer speaks to the business model that will be utilized. Previously, it was specified that it will be a sub-based model, with no cash shop. A lot of players looking at new MMOs look for this information, so I think it’s important to have it in the FAQ. Just my thoughts.

Sheesh, this game... I tell ya.

Following its development feels like a never ending emotional tug of war. One day I’m like, "YES! This is what I’m talking about." and the next day, "Ughhh. Why oh why are you doing this to me!?!?".

I don't even want to get into what it is that isn’t resonating, because it will likely just be an exercise in futility. I will just have to wait until it is completed, and at that time either find the game aesthetically pleasing or not.

    Hello,

I noticed that the pages that still remain look a bit more polished, but a some pages I was looking forward to were missing. Are there plans to update the lore/world/story type pages? The old URLs return a 404 error.

I think it would also be nice/neat/handy to have a chart of what races can be what classes and what classes can be what roles. But that's more of a quality of life thing, not a necessity.

Thanks for all your hard work!

@OakenPage They have stated that Lore is one of those things that is going to be added into the website at some point.

There has been a racial-class Chart. It's within reason to think that they'll bring that one up again on the website. In the meantime; The Race/Class Matrix used to be available on the Races page but now can only be found in the FAQ section. thanks @GoofyWarriorGuy

I noticed in the FAQ that although you mention crafting is a big thing for the game, any decisions relating to harvesting/crafting are not mentioned as a way of sharing information.

It might be a good thing to at least have a description of what players can expect from this none-combat content. (crafting classes, specializations, scavenging, salvaging, fishing etc)

The info provided in earlier newsletters concerning crafting, already offer a good amount. Perhaps poor that into a new summary format? It doesn't have to be in the FAQ, but perhaps similar to races/classes tab?
