If you didn't see the stream, it pretty much *is* nightmode white-on-black throughout.

Alternatively, turn a light on and don't stare at screens in the darkness.

I'm in the same room as my wife after she goes to bed, so lights on isn't an option for me.

I think that was good news in the stream, they even said Brasse would have a space to do stuff and maybe other Dev types might be coerced. I could see Ben dean secretly creating a "find Roenick's corpse" page like a where's waldo just to razz him a bit good naturedly. I would like to see some techy stuff from Zoeii (more zoeii playing!!) and Jason et all, but those might be secret beans.

I'd like to see the Wiki re-invigorated, too but it would need some moderation I thik.

I don't know much about how this stuff works, but do you ever turn on "blue shade" or whatever it's called?  I let my kids read on their kindles in bed but I turn off wifi and turn on blue shade.  It makes the screen less like a light and more like a book.

I use nightmode even in a bright room with the blinds open on a sunny day. Idk I just think the contrast of white text on a dark background is easier to read for long periods of time than the othr way around. Could be a habit built in from writing code though. If you don't program in dark mode you cannot be trusted.

If you use chrome you can look up the addon "Dark Night Mode".  It's not perfect but it seems to work pretty well on most websites I frequent including this one.

There's also a 'Dark mode' for Firefox as well as the new Edge browser.
